This morning was a pot of Blue Mountain coffee,gin-n-tonic after lunch and I'll report back after dinner with which bourbon I decide to enjoy with my evening cigar.

I have some bad memories with Tequila. I also have "no memories" that involved tequila. Margaritas ALWAYS gave me heart burn, so I was a shooter or sipper.
Lots of coffee today and a few bottles of water.

...ah, I finished the Ketel One, so picked up Gilbey's vodka on sale at the grocery store... at well under $20 a liter, it's the smoothest of the "bum" vodkas...

Margarita #5. I think I’m going to get heartburn from the fresh lime juice before I get a buzz from the tequila. Time to vape a little medicine and start winding down. Wife and dog are asleep, jr is in the shower. Quiet outside except for the raindrops. Might have a bowl of PS LTF and a cup of elderflower tea before retiring for the evening.

OK my brother the cocktail king came over last night and made me a Corpse Reviver #2. Actually I had two of them.
Absinthe, just a bit
1 part Gin
1 part Cointreau
1 part Lillet Blanc
1 part Fresh lemon juice
They are delicious.

My brother has taken on the hobby of cocktails. I have taken on the side hobby of taking his suggestions. This is a fiddly drink and I don't like to fiddle around. I am a bourbon in a glass type of guy. But... if my brother is going to go make, well, heck....
And wow, they are good. Real good. Not what I expected. A little sweet, a little tart, real cold and real chill.
If you want to be responsible, I would recommend drinking only one if you are going out later, and no more than two in a row if you are staying in. More than that - well as the great Harry Craddock himself warned us, something to the effect that one will revive a corpse, and four will likely un-revive him again.

Usually while smoking a pipe I tend to go with coffee in one form or another. Tonight I suddenly felt a glass of alcohol wold be nice as well. I dont drink much and being a little ambitious I think I poured a little too much.
As such, looks like I got a slight buzz and going to light up a fourth pipe for the night before getting laundry started.
