okay, so I have heard thru the grapevine that Peterson tobaccos are going to start becoming available in the States again in April, but some of the blends are being discontinued -- Wild Atlantic and Connemara Black are among them. Have you all been able to find them, or do we need to reconsider these blends?

It looks like this is true. I believe there are still some smaller online stores that have some in stock and of course, random B&M shops but as it looks, both of those blends are gone to the US market.
Here is the list as I saw it for what will be coming in April.
Peterson 3P's Plug Tobacco 50g Peterson Balkan Delight Tobacco 50g Peterson Connoisseurs Choice Tobacco 50g Peterson De Luxe Mix Tobacco 50g Peterson Hyde Park Tobacco 50g Peterson Irish Dew Tobacco 5 x 40g Peterson Irish Flake Tobacco 50g Peterson Irish Oak Tobacco 50g Peterson Irish Whiskey Tobacco 50g Peterson Old Dublin Tobacco 50g Peterson Sherlock Holmes Tobacco 50g Peterson Sunset Breeze Tobacco 50g Peterson Sweet Killarney Tobacco 50g Peterson University Flake Tobacco 50g

Here is what I'm thinking, please chime in with any advice/opinions:
I'm torn between Presbyterian and a Robert McConnell blend such as Scottish Flake or Scottish Cake or Red Virginia..

I was thinking that Presbyterian might have been a good replacement for Wild Atlantic. To me they are similar blends, certainly as a mild English with a hint of Latakia. That might be where the comparison stops. However, it depends on whether or not people want to try something new each month in the BOM. If so, you may have more takers for the Robert McConnell blends.

I've never tried a McConnell blend. I'd like to try the cake or the red Virginia.

Given a choice, I'd vote for the Presbyterian.

I would vote for Presbyterian, but I can always pick it for November if you want to go with a McConnells

I'm going to start smoking my Three Nuns today. Wondering where I put my thoughts? Should I post them here?

I would like to change mine to John Cotton 1&2 or Smyrna. I don't think it would be an issue but I dont know if anyone has purchased theirs already with BOM intent. We have some time to hear what others think though. --- Here is the list as it is now. I removed October and November as those Peterson blends are no longer available. There's plenty of time to choose a replacement. May - MacBaren Navy Flake, chosen by kbareit June - John Cotton #1, chosen by qmechanics July - St. Bruno Flake, chosen by Spartacus August - Newminster Blackberry Brandy, chosen by roadsdiverged September - Solani Green Label Blend 127, chosen by McWiggins October - undecided, chosen by bouwser November - undecided, chosen by Lady Margaret December - undecided
