I’m using the Imgur app on my Apple device. Tap on the photo within Imgur and tap on the “ copy link “ tab. Then tap the picture tab above within this forum. Completely clear out the Image URL box until ALL the prior text has been removed. Now past your Imgur link within the Image URL box and your picture will show up on this forum. Any other questions just ask, glad to help.

You just posted through Imgur in your above post. Choose a picture from your photo library and upload to Imgur. The new image will exist, seems you chose a picture that’s no longer available on Imgur. But you did post.
The image links you copy from imgur MUST end with .jpg Plus I notice your using an Imgur gallery photo. If not saved in YOUR profile it will not sho up on here.
Open you Imgur app.....all the way to the left on the bottom tap on profile. Upload any one of your pictures from your photo library. Once uploaded tap on your photo and boxes will appear on your photo. Tap on “ copy link “ tab. Now paste once you tap on the photo app above within this forum. You will see an insert image box appear. Within the Image URL box you will see text, put your cursor in the box and back space until ALL the http//: is removed. Now paste your image link from Imgur within that box and your picture will post.

Uploaded pic to imgur from my own image gallery... cleared out the http//: from the "insert image" location bar... inserted image link with .jpg at the end... hit the "insert" button and... zilch. |

Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the Imgur app? Do a hard shut down before reinstating Imgur. Maybe your app is corrupt or out dated. Seems your following all the proper steps. Wish I was there to help better. If I still had my server connected I would ask your permission to take over your device and figure your issue out.

If you are doing TOTALLY mobile, Baboo, you need to use the Imgur mobile site on your phone or iPad browser.
That is what I will post a tutorial for, with pictures and everything. I promise, when you do it once, you will realize it's pretty damn easy.

I have found that I need to manually enter the code (img)insert.jpg (/img) ... except with brackets, not paranthesis.

Don't use the Imgur app, use their mobile site on your phone browser. So, open Safari, or whatever you are running on your phone, go to www.imgur.com and access that way.
It will allow you to copy the correct code to then paste into the mobile site for The Briar Patch.

I’m sure you tried the mobile site for this forum. Is your firmware updates on your mobile device the latest version? From what your posting and I’m reading your doing everything correctly. Might be an issue where the Admin of this forum needs to find out from one of the web masters of this forum if they are aware of any issues posting pictures on this forum. Another forum, just over a year ago had a similar problem and the company in Europe that hosted the forum discovered they had an issue. Took a few days but the company resolved the problems.
One serious issue was most were able to login in to the forum but only a few were unable to. The problem was at the host companies end that handled the domain.
Hopefully your problem will be resolved in a day or two, all the best.

Are you able to post pictures using Imgur when on your computer???

Definitely try using one of your browsers on your mobile device, I thought you did prior. At times the Imgur app does not play well with Android. That I know from experience.

My understanding is that our the back end software that runs our forum will be upgraded soon. They don't have an official date yet, but they are in the last stages of testing, etc.
When that happens, apparently posting pictures via the mobile site will be much, much easier to do.

tinypic.com is free and is very easy to use; I've used this one for 7 or 8 years. I signed up (tinypic) and tried to load a pic of my new Stanwell, but it never goes past saying UPLOADING IMAGES And just sits there not doing anything else. Samething with Photobucket. So it could be my antique MacBook Air. I am going to keep trying until somewhere, I can put my cool pics. Then I can load em here.  I know your all at the edge of your seats, waiting in anticipation.  |

Great job, your pictures are perfect. This issue is most likely the new update to the Imgur app not to long ago, does not play well yet with Android
