 It's working from my Android/Dolphin browser, but clumsy and not too intuitive. Had to type in (.jpg) on the end of the link. BB Code link didn't work (  ). Thanks all for hanging in there with me... much appreciated! |

Yup, using the imgur mobile site, downloaded from the link you posted earlier today... Exclusively on my smartphone.
Don't use the Imgur app, use their mobile site on your phone browser. So, open Safari, or whatever you are running on your phone, go to www.imgur.com and access that way.
It will allow you to copy the correct code to then paste into the mobile site for The Briar Patch.
I am using an old macbook at home on WIFI. You guys are talking mobil on phones. Stop confusing me. Lol    |

I've been on "imgur" for quite some time and love it. I haven't attempted posting photo's from imgur to the forum via a cell phone, but only from the laptop to our forum. Its a simple click the copy icon for "direct link" from the link menu located to the right of your photo, and paste into the forums picture "insert link" icon...  I stopped using Photobucket quite a while back when PB started charging a fee for using their site. If you didn't pay the "ransom" fee, you had a number of aggressive ads attaching you from numerous points. I simply dumped PB... |

Oh well, playing with the cell phone and apparently, I can submit a link of a photo from imgur to the forum using the "link" icon only.

Theres a good tutorial on posting from imgur that Justin put together. I use my phonebhere almost exclusively and to post pictures I use the mobile site, while I use the app tobtake pictures. I leave the tab for imgur open and just switch to it when I'm posting a picture to the forum. Bbcode is the drop down option I use to post pictures.

i use imgur and like it. little known fact -- the owner of the forum pays for it's upkeep out of his pocket. we don't have ads, etc to cover the costs. using attachments will cause it to go over and cost him more money, so using a hosting site is really helping keep the cost down for him so we can continue to enjoy this site. ...if you use PayPal, it's incredibly easy to contribute a few $$ per month the support this great place... |

So, I tried out that app too, Baboo... it doesn't give a proper image link. There is another app out there called Imgur that seems to give good links, the problem is in order to render on the site, you need to add the image tags to the link. I'm working with our hosting provider to see if there is a way to make this all work. I'll update as soon as I have an answer. Sit tight! Imgur works very well, simply placing the cursor over the pic, you can copy.....what would be nice is if on the forum when you access the photo icon to paste the pic, if that address field didn’t automatically populate it with “http” and left it blank. Imgur works well with the Reddit interface. |
