very good photo choice, Sid Forgive me for my ignorance, but who is this in this picture? LL is indeed correct, the picture is of Eva Green as Miss Peregrine from the movie Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. This was a promotional photo, it never happened in the movie. That is a Peregrine falcon on her hand (movie prop) It's a very cool movie. Miss Peregrine could turn into a peregrine falcon, but what stood out most about her was she smoked a pipe. Eva Green kept the pipe after filming completed.

Interesting, I wonder if she smoked it in the movie and if she still does I found this article, but it's more about the character and the movie: www.tv3.ie/xpose/article/entertainment-news/218168/Eva-Green-delighted-in-playing-unusual-Miss-Peregrinebut she is quoted as saying, "I really like (smoking the pipe)," she added. "It's a real pipe, and it's kind of a ritual. It's not easy. I love the smell though." kind of curious as to what tobacco they gave her.

Yesterday I opened that 80 year-old tin of 'Sweet Chestnut' and even though the lead seal was intact, the vacuum wasn't. The tobacco has now been transferred to a glass jar with moist tissue paper in the lid and I just wait ...and wait. PLEASE let us know how it is. Of course I'll let you all know as soon as I have coughed myself through the first bowl.

Erinmore Flake date on tin 2004 How do you find this compared to the Erinmore Flake of the eighties.? Just before Christmas last year I bought a tin from the same year and I found that it was a far cry from the Erinmore Flake of old. Nothing left of that, er, distinctive aroma and taste; it tasted more like STG's bland version.

Seeing that she uses a bird for a lighter, maybe she smokes 'Condor'.

The 2004 is still a decent smoke with the amount of age, but does not compare to the much older blend. Oh, the newer release within the past few years might be decent in 15 years but it’s lacking flavor and depth now! Just leave it to STG, once they get their hands on a great tobacco that’s been around for years, they will screw it up somehow, using much cheaper quality leaf! NOTHING LIKE THE OLDER SQUARE TINNED ERINMORE FLAKE👍👍👍

Almost half way through this bowl of 1960’s Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 1982 black sandblasted paneled slight bend Savinelli flat bottom sitter with a black vulcanite stem. It burns kinda quickly, but it doesn't bite. Age does change this blend. A bottle of Boylan's Birch Beer made with pure cane sugar is my drink. Watching Mad Dog Russo on this cloudy day.

Smoking a bowl of Irish oak in a captain black estate pipe I got off the bay. A glass of baileys on the rocks is accompanying me. My wife also accompanied me, but she's off to bed. Night duty has taken its toll on her.
