Finishing off a jar of Petet Stokkebye Proper English. No one bought the pipe that was taunting me, so I added it to my cart and checked out. What pipe did you get yourself? It’s not at the point in your life of what you need, it’s the time for what you want👍

I think adopting the European dictum is a bad sign and the name Exotic Orange should have been retained in the U.S.

Indeed he did, but the poor thing is delirious with boredom. Not much sight-seeing in the very small Oasis of Bir Keg in the middle of the Sahara. He did bring his trunks, but as he wrote on a postcard: "The sea is a 4 days drive away, so I'll just stay on the beach". I think that he'll be back tomorrow.
sounds like he needs a better travel agent. Hehe... That might be a good idea. The trip was pretty cheap, but Eunuchs tend to be a bit naïve and very easily get carried away by a "special" offer.
Two days on "the beach" and he didn't have any balls to play with. He definitely will be back tomorrow.

I think adopting the European dictum is a bad sign and the name Exotic Orange should have been retained in the U.S. Well, it'd cost more to have the same blend with two different tin tops just to keep the original name. In this day and age, tobacco manufacturers are not to spend that kind of money for no return.

In this day and age, tobacco manufacturers are not to spend that kind of money for no return. That's true from a practical biz perspective. . . . . and if they want a 'return' they could try getting the blend to market on a regular basis.

I think adopting the European dictum is a bad sign and the name Exotic Orange should have been retained in the U.S. I was sent Exotic Passion from a friend that did not enjoy the blend. It definitely doesn’t have the taste and aroma of the old Exotic Orange that I’ve smoked in the past.

I think adopting the European dictum is a bad sign and the name Exotic Orange should have been retained in the U.S. It's idiotic beyond description what the anti-tobacco mafia in the EU is doing to the tobacco names that sound just the tiniest bit delicious and inviting.
One of the Danish Ben&Jerry tobaccos I remember from the sixties, 'Sweet Dublin' is now 'Special Dublin', 'Brown Sugar Flake' is now 'B.S. Flake', 'Kendal Cream Flake' is now 'KC Flake' and the list goes on... and I haven't even mentioned what they are doing to the tin designs with their growing-in-size idiot labels. The most infuriating thing is that they probably pay some little pen pushers a hefty salary to think up drivel like that. When all that is said and done and I've finished my rantings, it doesn't really matter what they call the tobacco on either side of the Atlantic, just as long as it's the same tobacco.
Nothing like a good rant.

"I am still standing"It's not for the song but for the Empire State Building. The Empire State Building B-25 crash was a [9:49 a.m. on Saturday, July 28] 1945 aircraft accident in which a B-25 Mitchell bomber, piloted in thick fog over New York City, crashed into the Empire State Building. The accident did not compromise the building's structural integrity, but it did cause fourteen deaths (three crewmen and eleven people in the building) and damage estimated at $1,000,000 ($13,593,346 in 2017 dollars). I am smoking Orlik Club Mixture in a Brebbia, cool water beside me [plus notes for bills].

Sid ^^^^^^^^^^ was before my time but I’ve read different articles that have been published on that devastating plane crash.
However, the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center both crumbled an hour after being hit. Okay, by bigger planes but I’m still thinking of the possibilities of inferior materials were used in the construction of the Twin Towers......just my thoughts!

The Red Orlik I smoke now, doesn't taste like the one I smoked in the sixties. Neither does Yellow Capstan or McConnell's 'Maduro' for that matter. 'Sic Transit Gloria Mundi' as we Romans say.

What pipe did you get yourself? It’s not at the point in your life of what you need, it’s the time for what you want👍 I picked this up. I asked for some pictures of the "teeth marks" and they sent me a picture fairly quick. Perfectly acceptable for the price. Was looking for a tall bowl and it was time to add a Savinelli to the collection. And added 2 tins of Andullo and a pound of Red Odessa Sorry for the huge pic, wont happen again. Finished off the jar of Proper English. Had a bowl of Andullo, a bowl of Drexel VIII and now drying some English Oriental Supreme

It's not the prettiest pipe in the world but it fit what I was looking for. The only other place I could find one was on Ebay and the asking price was higher. I still have my Addis pipe if I want to look at something beautiful. I can't convince myself to smoke it YET.
Finally lighting this bowl of Peter Stokkebye - English Oriental Supreme.
