A quarter of the way through this bowl of 2012 Virginia Spice in a 2004 smooth long shank Canadian Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 with a black vulcanite stem. This will get me to dinner time. Watching the Pirates-Cubs game.

Just got home, kissed Blondie, patted Hank on the head (our Pound Puppy) and made my way up to the cave. Finished some work, answered a dozen emails and now it's time to enjoy a pipe and sip some Scotch.
First up is a bowl of Esoterica Kingsbridge in a no name Bent Bulldog, Glenrothes in the glass, youtube on the tellie.
Cheers

After a wait of almost 2 years I'm launching a Root Briar 5117! (yes, it took that long to get it here!) with some oldish McClelland 2010 with some hot black coffee, just inside the shed to shield the new bowl from the nice breeze here, listening to Tedeschi-Trucks Band (somewhat softly in the background! I plan on this bowl taking two hours to smoke -very slow and easy.

lonecoyote Avatar 17 hours ago lonecoyote said: Walkman Avatar 17 hours ago Walkman said: It burned fine for the first half of the bowl, then had to light it for three puffs, then out. Recommendations? I’ve found that Andullo burns even and smoother to the bottom of the bowl. Give it a try👍 Did not sleep well again! So, please forgive me.....what I meant too also say...I’ve found that Andullo burns even and smoother in a wide diameter chamberd bowl. Give it a try👍 _____________________________________ Thanks, Ted. That's a good idea. I have this same problem with the last half of many/most aromatics. I'll try a wider and shallower bowl.

Solani ABF in a Savory's Mayfield pot. Coffee on the side. This is my first attempt at a fold & stuff with a square flake. Now that I'm halfway down the bowl, and 15 relights later, it's smoking well. I need practice... ;-)

Relaxing after a wonderful steak and angel hair pasta dinner with a bowl of HU White Horses in my trusty 1970s smooth three quarter bend Peterson System Standard 305 with a black vulcanite stem and p-lip. More rain tonight, so that means Molly's hiding under the bed.

Rub a bowl full out on a tray or dish next time and let air dry for 30 to 45 minutes before stuffing your pipe. Much more enjoyable smoke without the hassle....happy puffing👍

Trial and error...

Trying my hand at a new blend. Samuel Gawith Chocolate Flake. Not as aromatic as I'd like but still smokes as well as I'd expect a SG blend to smoke.
Happy piping!
