My oldest at 15, ate a lb of bacon at one sitting, his 2 other siblings, ate a lb together, I ate a lb, so whenever we had bacon it was a 5 pounder for xtra for drop ins. Now it’s very expensive and quality has gone down the S chute, but I still love a BLT with thick slices of tomato.

Eggo pancakes? Pancakes are so easy and taste much better when made fresh, even leftover pancakes from the day before are better than Eggo. Leggo that Eggo!

Now it’s very expensive and quality has gone down the S chute, but I still love a BLT with thick slices of tomato. I don't do the tomatoes they make my toast soggy ! The trick to get around that, is run the individual slices under the faucet and rinse away the seeds and tomato juice, and press between doubled paper towels. If I pack a BLT in my lunch, I toast the bread and toss it in the freezer for a few minutes before bagging, once it is cool, I put it in a baggie with mayo on it, the b, l, and t are in a Tupperware for assembly later. I always have extra bacon, but I am pretty sure I will never have to start a thread “What to do with my bacon remnants?”

I don’t now what is going on with the forum, but I corrected the spelling six times for the word “arseembly”, confirm it, click “save” and it shows arseembly.

I guess the word you would use in the sentence “Henry Ford was the first major manufacturer to popularize the assembly line”. No matter what you do, changes it.

Someone overdid it when setting up the profanity filters. sparks? I had the same price with the filters at work. It's amazing how many common words contain curse words, and how many filters are too stupid to tell the difference. Some allow you to allow whole words that contain the bothersome parts, but most don't. And even if you can, it's a Sisyphian task. A$$embaly! Glass!

Yep, tried 💩 in my post but changed it to shite, thought legend lover had cast his Irish spell upon this Old Cajun.. PS the word resembling turd was in my first sentence, not the Irish turd 💩

I cook bacon in the oven now in an 11 X 16 iron pan. I cover the bottom with strips, about seven. Three get eaten at breakfast and rest are on hand as needed....And I "need" often. For example, Spinanch Salad with Bacon. Potato Salad with Bacon. Split Pea Soup with Bacon. Do you see a trend here?

We buy a 2 pound bag of crumbled bacon at Sam's about once a month for seasoning greens, green beans, potato salad, omelets, etc.

Anyone ever notice how a box of uncut flake tobacco resembles a slab of bacon?

You had to start trouble.....great idea.....crumbled bacon in a good light drop biscuit......eat while warm....no butter needed👍👍👍

Now I am thinking about biscuits made with chopped bacon, raw, instead of butter or shortening or maybe together.
Perfect with Sausage or Ham Gravy.

Or dip ^^^^^^^^^^ warm bacon biscuit directly into warm bacon fat....oh my doctors would be thrilled.
When I lived in Europe ALL of the best....crustiest breads were made with lard....better then butter👍👍👍

The baconaholics responding to this thread would probably sprinkle that Crumble Bacon on Ice Cream.
