After some Saturday supper, GT, I have been puffing on my remnant mixes in the Church Cossack & MM Country Gent maple. I will have my H. Wintermans 1/2 corona, in the Doyar's briar holder, I prefer my Turmeau punch to my Mrs Brog guillotine, I have decided. I've been in a time loop today if you get the drift folks a Davidic rehearsal...(or Solomonic dance/ trance in these backwoods), by the star of the sea TG.

Nothing but crickets chirping without Jim. Enjoying Esoterica Margate in a natural rusticated hand made two note Don Carlos. Heineken my first cocktail of the evening.

In the East they would say the golden silence of silkworm " munching" . In the Isles of the Middle Kingdom, timing has many arts, whether sand hour glasses, pocket watches, glass silicon tablets , atomic time or the Rollex of the rich, but whether letters or numbers, variety is the spice of life in sport or hobbies, whether prose or poetry. With the whoosh of cars now & then passing by. Preparing to roll my first Irish flake into my Peterson emerald Christmas special. Come back Jim all is forgiven, all in friendly jest, folks. Watching Exodus the latest Hollywood cowboy Biblical epic.

Addendum, as regards my Irish flake it is dark , rich & oily & evenly textured , with deep plum jam spicy tin note, with woody overtones, & rolls well, but my first Scottish Flake is lighter in colour with a less deep Plum jam note with woody overtones , and less hint of spice, but it is crumbly & doesn't roll, so I made a sandwich of the Scottish flake on top of the Irish flake & it rolls well, My first few puffs are very agreeable. Sipping from my bottle of juice, diet lemonade with a dash of French Dubonnet, it is often Italian red Vermouth or Martini with lots of lemonade, in my water bottle, with some Lourdes water. I put a steel foil mesh at the bottom of the Peterson with a layer of Carbon granules & another steel mesh on top , before putting the roll in. To give a clean, dry & cool smoke. More anon. Enjoy your weekend.

Almost half way through this bowl of Vincent Manil La Brumeuse Semois in a straight 2012 MM Pony Express cob. Stuff sure does burn fast. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink.

Yes Jim, but out of sight, out of mind, you have to see the bait to take it.
I suppose there is an art & science to angling , you need the right bait & timing for starters, but I am willing to make a fool of myself , for a bit of friendly fellowship, I may have a bark but do not have a big bite. I like to laugh with folk & not at them & what I do not hear , I do not care....but each to his own. The mix of of Scottish & Irish flake is a great discovery, a delicious smoke folks, a tangy sweet wine like flavour , with an incense room note, with undertones yet coming to the fore in my brief few puffs.

A perfect match , my latest Tom mix , a rolled sandwich of two complementary flakes, Irish flake & Scottish flake, it has to be tried to be believed. But may not be to all tastes. In my Peterson Christmas pipe, with red band on the silvery ring. I will have to read some professional quality reviews & try & learn some of the art.

Further to the Irish & Scottish flake sandwich roll or fold, it is a very heady brew & is best taken slowly at leisure, a good evening mix , relaxing with a movie or music. But I find that putting the roll or folded flakes into a bowl is a tight, compact plug, so it is best to put 4 or 5 holes in the plug with your tamper pick to allow it draw easily and burn evenly & it will remain lit longer, for those new to rolls or folded flake plugs.

I went out into the yard in the mild night air to get a breather, after that wonderful experience of my twin flake mix, Irish & Scottish, I was watching ( with earphones) on YouTube, on my tablet, an experienced articulate reviewer & connoisseur the Bremen Piper, a German professor with a fine way with English, on his travels around Bremen , & a trip to some architectural masterpieces in France. But he encouraged me to try more HU blends. I was surveying the yard , I have a shed to assemble for a kind of conservatory, workshop, & a place for my hot tub, & a smoking den outdoors to shelter from the weather. I need to prepare the foundations with sand & flags, before putting it together, I have an idea of customising the front with a sliding glass door with an awning above it to view my little garden & the distant sky. But work in progress. A rain shower drove me back indoors. I have a whiskey mix in my Laphraoig taster cup of the Buffalo trace bourbon & Laphraoig Triple Wood, More puffs of my Peterson pipe & twin flake mix to look forward too, on this vigil night.

Sipping my whisky mix, watching the rest of my Saturday night movie Exodus, I am not usually negative about movies , I usually seek to enjoy what is offered, but maybe I will watch this epic again with more appreciation . I was tempted by the Bremen piper to buy some HU tobacco, so I ordered some bulk English Breakfast & Great Dixter, which I enjoyed so much. A puff or two on tonight's pipe .

Smoking Uncle Tom's in my Parker Billiard watching an episode of Dads Army , Never to Old. Pipedreaming about the old days, Billiards was my favourite game on my snooker table, as a kid, but my senior mates do not play, I sometimes practice snooker & billiards on my 6 foot table, home alone, a relaxing home sport, for a senior citizen, I played Pool once in France for the first time, & was lucky & beat the village bar owner & his daughter which makes me laugh , thinking about it, I recall Paul Newman in the Hustler, the local "newish" bar, which I do not frequent , has a Pool table, not my game, lots of bars play pool over here & not snooker or billiards, I do not get it really.

Puffing on my emerald , red silvery banded Christmas Peterson & twin Tom mix, with the amber golden glow of the wispy clouds in the sapphire blue sky. My Buddhist friends seek to teach me about the windswept Buddhist Nirvana of the Himalyan plains & valleys, and the fire of illumination & enlightenment in the compassion of the cobra, rattlesnake & Python love dance, But I am just a halfling Christian family man dancing with the Lord of the dance on the high road, I will raise my sacramental cup & wafer to my dance of life unto death as my Father's & Mothers in the new way xXx Cheers, Skol, Iechyd da to the four quarters...fear not !!!
