Heard from someone on here that C&D We Three Kings benefits from a year of aging, mine is hitting that mark this season. May be my goto. I have enough McClelland holiday spirit for 2, maybe three bowls. It was my holiday smoke last year. Would have bought much more of I had known, it's excellent I just checked after my last post on this and We Three Kings has bitten the dust, at least at SP. Probably I. Reis, maybe Cigars International or someplace else has some. What's left is Golden Days of Yore, different with similarities in overall smoke experience. If interested it might be the last one C&D does this year. We Three Kings reminded me a tad of Peretti's Thanksgiving Blend, as far as spices go. As far as actual blend, I did not check it out. As far as Holiday Spirit, you may have to go to The Alamo blend (search P&C), I think it's Brigadier Black brand). You might get some love out of some Boswell Blends. I can say no more

Two more holiday ones: Pumpkin Spice (Sutliff) is to die for. I keep three pounds handy. Low Country and Lane have Hazelnut. I think the LC has a tad more tone to it, but both are good. I have mixed that with Pumpkin Spice and liked it. AND>> the only reason I forgot this was because SP is out of it. Sutliff Christmas Spice may be the best of all. Can be mixed with Pumpkin Spice, but is super on it's own. I am two pounds up on that one.

It seems that most holiday blends, especially christmas blends, are aromatics, which is unfortunate.

I don’t necessarily give any blend status as a Christmas blend... I admit that I am prone to cracking a tin of Christmas Cheer though. To me it is more about the lap resting pipe that I gravitate towards, and enjoying the festivity of the season and what Christmas means to me.

Christmas Cheer from what ever year I have the most, guilty pleasure is Boswells Christmas Cookie... 1 or 2 bowls suffice for the season.

Add C&D Nutty Irishman to the list. The one I sort of reviewed.

I just cracked open a tin of C&D Three Kings this morning, and surprisingly I like it.I may have to put it away for another few weeks. Has a great smell to it in the tin and when smoked.

When I think of 'Holiday' tobacco, I tend to think aromatic. Peretti: Thanksgiving Day and Sutliff: Holiday are a couple of favourites in these chilly winter months. They are so delicious and easily smoked all day.
I also think a good mark of a holiday blend should be a pleasing room note since the weather has me smoking indoors AND I tend to have more company over, so decadent, sweet-smelling stuff like Devil's Holiday, Rattray's Orange, Vermont Meat Candy or any of the myriad pumpkin spice blends I have lying around all work well in lending to the holiday spirit.
Also, it's tough for me to smoke any of those heavy aromatics much during the warmer months, so they need their due. haha

Speaking of Holidays!
Any threads created yet for a possible exchange? Also, has anyone mentioned a possible Forum Pipe of the Year?

During the holiday season I smoke more Wilke Rumcake and Black Frigate. I’ll open a tin this year of the Park Lane Christmas blend, which I refer to as my Hanukkah blend👍👍👍👍

Excluding its absence in '93, been my tradition since '92. It appears our tastes in pipes are fairly similar (I looked over a few of your other pipe posts). In this picture your beautiful pipe is being overwhelmed by mountains of Christmas Cheer tins. Nice stash!! Though I only have four tins left in my cellar 😑, it is good to see others who can enjoy the classics for years to come.

I commissioned that one specifically for Christmas Cheer from Bruce Weaver back in 2016. We went back and forth over what ivory would look like on a red bakelite stem, but in the end I was very pleased.

Ted, I sometimes hopscotch through the threads, and miss a lot. I just happened to see your post about neuropathy, and all the other issues... sorry to hear about that, you have been dealt a tough hand to put it mildly... I hope you can make the best of a bad situation, you have a great outlook all things considered.
I saw a few posts about some annual Christmas blends that weren’t available last year and this year. With the seeming rules, it is conceivable that they just said to heck with it... and for this year with McClellands closing, they might have lost their source.
McCrainies online sales must have taken quite a hit.
