A lot of people seem to like Black Frigate, which is flavored with rum, I think. I haven't smoked it but people seem to be almost fanatical about their devotion to it.
It seems like it's always out of stock and pipes and cigars ...
P&C constantly has a ton of stuff out of stock or backordered. Your best best is to look elsewhere.

But you can get 1 sealed for the price of 2 empty - practically a bargain!

Try Boswell's Northwoods and Countryside, and Sutliff Aromatic English, Burma Road, and Modern English.
Thank you. Are any of these similar to Frogs Cellar? I bought everything at once long time ago.. and of course waited until I got down to 2 tins before restocking.
I "assumed" because Pipe smokers made up around 1% of all smokers the FDA would leave pipe alone.
Unfortunately of that small percentage most “pipe tobacco” sold is RYO cigarette tobacco to avoid higher cigarette taxes. Big tobacco wants parity and I figure they will get it sooner or later.

I can think of a reason why someone would purchase empty tins. Not sure if I would want to buy off e-bay after seeing this. Agreed. My old tins will now be hitting the recycle bin.

Pipestud has 10 100gr tins of Frog Morton Original on sale for $24/tin. I'm only seeing 50g for $25. pipestud.com/pipe-tobacco-tins-for-sale-page-2/ (also $20 for Blakeney's Best - I haven't tried it but that's a steal for any McClelland these days).

Sorry, I misread it. I am old and stupid. I probably would have needlessly bought more if they were 100g, so it's just as well. Still a great deal for those who need it.

Thanks man. You just posted this ... and now they are all sold out now. So obviously people read your post and emptied the store. I would've purchased all 10 and given you commission on each can.
But I guess I haven't made it to 100 posts yet.
I NEED Frog Morton's man. Not gonna mortgage the house but I need it.
I am extremely picky and discerning about what I smoke. 9/10 blends I try simply don't make the cut with me. I smoke in moderation so my pallet is far less desensitized than someone who puffs 10 bowls of drug store bulk per day.
Blaky's is a Bayou blend and I don't like any Bayou blends except surprise surprise - Frog Morton's (and Black Parrot for some reason but I don't consider Black Parrot a Bayou blend) every other Bayou blend style I've tried I simply cannot stand.
Mississippi Mud, Plum Pudding and Blaky's all received very high ratings from everyone else but me ..

Ok so I got 2 tins of Black Frigate today.
IMO not up to par with Capt. Earle's Private Stock or 10 Russians -at all. It's got a more balanced and "consistent" flavor. But it's got mild bite and the aftertaste just isn't that good.
It's a "good" blend but I'm extremely picky. Given the choice between Frigate and Capt. Earles.... Earles is just a cut above. But everyone has different tastes. People Rave about Samual Gawith. Borkim Riff and Solani are fantastic blends - which I think are absolutely disgusting.

IMO not at all up to par with Capt. Earle's Private Stock or 10 Russians -at all. It's got a more "balanced" and "consistent" flavor. But totally lacks the marrying Earles has .. it's got mild bite ... Earles has none .. and the aftertaste just isn't that good .. Earles is great ..
It's still a "good" blend but I'm extremely picky. Given the choice between Frigate and Capt. Earles.... Earles is just three cuts above. No bite. Good aftertaste. Marry Flavors. No wonder it's sold out.
But everyone has different tastes. People Rave about Samual Gawith. Borkim Riff and Solani are fantastic blends - all of which I think are absolutely disgusting.

Ok so in writing this ... I just now learned that BLACK PARROT is is made by MCCLELLANDS. Wouldn't I just know it ...
And I have 2 tins left. I have a habit of purchasing in bulk batches then waiting until the tins get down to 2-3 and purchasing in bulk again. I do this with Lane Ltd 1Q all the time .. and now I'm finding almost all, literally almost all the blends I like were produced my McClelland's. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!

There are 0 left now. It says sold out. I've almost made it to 100 posts - without spamming or tweeting - so if anyone out there knows of McClellands on sale for this kind of price - ex specially for Froggies Cellar, Froggie on the Bayou or Froggie on the Town - or please tell me and I will give you commission. The moderation said no buying selling or trading. But I did not see anything about brokering.

Lane 1Q is now sold out on Pipes and Cigars. Thats it. I'm going to purchase 30-50 tins of Lane 1Q when I can find it.. It's hella cheaper in bulk ... but for some reason my spoiled picky arse can tell the difference between a fresly opened tin vs. bulk. The tin vs. bulk thing might just be my imagination but whatever...

I bought a couple and they are on the way. A few arrived and I haven't tried them yet. Only the Black Frigate which is, under par .. compared to Capt. Earle's IMO ..

Going through my collection I'm finding out Literally almost all my favorite's are/were Mcclelland's. Not a coincidence. This is insane. Mcclelland's quality control curing manufacturing processes must have been way above what these others were doing.
They must have some kind of proprietary way they made thier tobacco that really agreed with me otherwise why would it be a coincidence almost all the aromatics and non-aromatics I like always seem to come back to Mcclelland's. And of course they are all sold out.
If there is anyone out there who isn't as hot on McClellands as I am - and wants to sell in bulk at once without dealing with the hassle of signing up and selling online please let me know when I get to 100 posts.

Just purchased a ton of Sutlifs'. They have allot of selection but nothing is in a tin.
I am really only interested in tins. And alternatives to Frog's that offer a tin ?

Just went back and purchased a ton of Sutlifs. I hope these are good because the Sutlifs Caramel Tin was terrible.

Michael, I appreciate you persevering through the 100 posts before you start negotiations. If you also like 1Q at least you'll have no bother with that. Am I right in assuming that you prefer McClellands over 1Q?

While I was at Pipestuds I saw that he had a few tins of genuine pure Syrian Latakia. I was sorely tempted. So many blends could be improve by a pinch of Lat.

I would have bought it myself if I had any room, money, or chance of survival after the wife found out.
