There are 0 left now. It says sold out. I've almost made it to 100 posts - without spamming or tweeting - so if anyone out there knows of McClellands on sale for this kind of price - ex specially for Froggies Cellar, Froggie on the Bayou or Froggie on the Town - or please tell me and I will give you commission. The moderation said no buying selling or trading. But I did not see anything about brokering. Sorry you missed it. I wouldn't want a commission. That's not what we're here for. Just trying to help. I would have bought it myself if I had any room, money, or chance of survival after the wife found out. I'd like you to list that in order of importance.

Going through my collection I'm finding out Literally almost all my favorite's are/were Mcclelland's. Not a coincidence. This is insane. Mcclelland's quality control curing manufacturing processes must have been way above what these others were doing. They must have some kind of proprietary way they made thier tobacco that really agreed with me otherwise why would it be a coincidence almost all the aromatics and non-aromatics I like always seem to come back to Mcclelland's. And of course they are all sold out. If there is anyone out there who isn't as hot on McClellands as I am - and wants to sell in bulk at once without dealing with the hassle of signing up and selling online please let me know when I get to 100 posts. They were particular about the leaf that they bought and very careful with its processing. If you liked what McClelland did you were a very happy camper. A lot of people liked other blends and makers much better and a lot of McClelland blends sat on the shelf for years. That Tawney Flake still in stock at the end was 12 years old. It's a very personal sort of thing. 1Q is one of the most popular blends made today. I find it unpalatable due to the chemical aftertaste. Years ago I would have probably loved it, as I used to love Captain Black white. Now, Captain Black gives me the heaves. When you have become accustomed to a specific style of tobacco making it can be difficult to accept different styles. Even if you eventually manage to latch onto a few more tins of the Frogs, you will still face the same problem in the not too distant future, and it will be both harder to find and much more expensive. Keep searching for alternatives and broadening your palate. Eventually you will become accustomed to different flavors that you can enjoy on their own merits. Now if only someone could come up with a match for Motzek Strang...

Sutliff's Burma Road has been advertised as a replacement for McClelland's Frog Morton. I've never tried it, but perhaps someone else here has and can comment on it.

Now if only someone could come up with a match for Motzek Strang... I've heard that HU Director's Cut is similar to Motzek Strang.

I just ordered it and like Conan The Barbarian said we shall see ..
RO Series Acadian Gold 1.75 Ounce Tin just got here. Bleehhhhhhhhh ! ! !
I paid $25.00 + shipping and it tastes like utter rotten garbage.
There is nothing I hate more than spending $100+ on a bottle of wine and having it taste like something from the clearance bin at 7-11 for $3.99. Same with Tobacco or anything else. I get super pissed when I but something high priced which is just high priced. Too late. They got my money now.

Did you even read the description of the RO? I don't even know you and I could have told you that you wouldn't like it. I don't like dry French wine because I know that it is not to my taste. Read the descriptions and reviews on Tobaccoreviews.com before you waste any more of your money. Your statement is like me saying that Chateau Lafitte Rothschild is pure cat piss. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it bad. You only know what you like, and I am not sure if you really have a handle on that.

Frog Morton's series was my unicorn. Now it's up and died on me. I hear you...I thought that you had bought this from Ebay, contact P&C and ask for a return authorization. I am sure that they will take corrective action.

Ron raises a good point, Perique is a fermented tobacco, and to the uninitiated it may be perceived as moldy tobacco...it just may be that Perique is not your cup of tea.

Now if only someone could come up with a match for Motzek Strang... I've heard that HU Director's Cut is similar to Motzek Strang. It's similar, kind of like "Strang-lite". Not as strongly flavored as the Motzek product. Sadly, the farm that produced some of the components has apparently gone into growing something else, so Strang is gone for good. HU Director's Cut is an outstanding blend on its own merits and probably easier on the palette for most smokers. Strang could be challenging.
