It's a great knife for my tobacco. It's a little chunky for an EDC for me because I clip it on my pocket and keep it inside.
Slices through plugs and cakes like it's nothing. Congrats on your new knife

I got mine from Amazon in 2 days. I got the orange one because it was in in stock. I showed it to my wife and she liked it so much that it's hers now. But she will let me borrow it.

Enjoy Randy ^^^^^^^^^^ it holds an edge well and it’s worth more than twice the price. I’ve completely stripped mine down to do some fine sanding on the pivot screw. Opens as fast as most of my stilettos/switchblade knives now....nice and smooth.

What do you cut your plugs on? I'm thinking of getting a small plastic cutting board.

I have an oak 1x8 board that I cut down and sanded very very smooth. Seems to work well

You guys got me. I ordered one of those Ganzos on Amazon today.
I have been happily using Opinel knives for my tobacco cutting needs for years. So, I'm looking forward to the novelty of using something different.
Thanks for the info everyone....I think. I can see this getting expensive if I like that little sucker.

I was just thinking the same thing about my Opinels. Cut twist tobacco phenomenally but leave a little to be desired when it comes to plugs.

The above knife sharpener that was recommended is the system I have used for years. I own a number of Ganzo/Firebird knives. Many of the blades are made from 440c stainless steel which is a higher carbon steel than the plain 440 steel. I either use ceramic sticks or my Lansky System with the super fine ceramic stone to keep a razor sharp edge on my Ganzo knives made with 440c blade steel. I’ve yet had issues keeping a sharp edge on any of my Ganzo Knives. On two of them in the past I used a 600 grit stone, never any stone more aggressive was needed. The knife below is one of my favorite EDC knives, which I’ve carried for almost 2 years and used often. Only needed a touch up sharpening with ceramic sticks. This Ganzo Firebird is actually a clone of a Lion Steel Knife, which are Italian made of a higher quality blade steel and costs between $275.00 to $325.00, I also own a Lion Steel for over 20 years. Below are two pictures I just took using using my iPad, so not the best quality picture. The simple lanyard I made using a .380 shell and a small piece of paracord. This knife is also selling on Amazon for $20.95 delivered if you have Amazon Prime and free shipping when you spend over $35.00 with Amazon. This knife I was so satisfied with I now own one with orange G-10 handle scales. If your a knife person, here’s another I highly recommend. The knife below is the Firebird 720 made by Ganzo Knife & Tool

blackmouth210........here’s the link from Amazon. It’s available in black, green and orange. You won’t be disappointed. I’ve been into knives since I’m 8 years old, I’m now 67. My hobby for a number of years was making knives, so I’m picky with quality and price. ANY issue with a Ganzo product it will be replaced. You’ll find the Firebird 720 to feel extremely comfortable in hand, it’s a hefty knife. I did change the pivot washers to ceramic for a bit quicker and smoother fast deployment. You can use the thumb tab and the knife opens super fast. I use a technique by holding the axis lock back and slightly flicking my wrist so it opens lightning fast. The link to Amazon www.amazon.com/Folding-Pocket-Firebird-Fishing-Handle/dp/B071PB6B88

I'm going to get at least another one of those and will add at least two 720's to that order. I appreciate your help.
