"Governments may think and say as they like, but force cannot be eliminated, and it is the only real and unanswerable power. We are told that the pen is mightier than the sword, but I know which of these weapons I would choose."~Sir Adrian
Those were some "heady" days...turbo chargers, dual quads, bored and stroked, smokin' some tires at the stop light...noticing the cop 2 cars behind you.
Walt, I put a 12 bolt 373 posi-rear.....take notice near the back tires I had to install proper stabilizing bars ....wheel chirps and helped the car to not drift side to side. Only fuel that ever went into the ‘68 Firebird was 116 octane. Back in the mid 90’s it cost me $6.78 a gallon, if I didn’t get on the peddle I’d get 6 MPG if I was lucky. I refused to use Nitro. Never lost a street race, but really the car was built to flatbed to the muscle car shows, especially the Carlisle car show in Pennsylvania, all three times I won a ribbon for best in category and once second place overall. Was a lot of fun!!!
