Happy Fall Equinox ... here's to giving Summer the BOOT!! Favorite time of the year up north, Leaves changing , maple syrup , cider , cider donuts , apple pie. I unfortunately live in Florida now and the only cold I get is when I turn my a/c down or in Dec for a week. Hope everyone in enjoys their first fire outside and light up a pipe and enjoy the fire channel. Also in FL this year we will not be doing daylight savings so no more fall back.

Amen brother, here in NC itโs been a miserable humid hot Summer. I was enjoying most of my pipes last night on the back deck. The temperature was 66 degrees and 47% humidity.......absolutely perfect weather is coming ๐๐๐. I can handle the cold....no longer the hot weather!

More rain today and tomorrow. At least it we don't have to worry about wildfires.

48 degrees on the high plains this morning, it felt so good. And, as if on cue, the Monarch butterflies are passing through today, a beautiful sight.

Though I hate winter, I will surely enjoy autumn. We have had the second hottest summer in the books and the humidity never let up. It's nice to put a sweat shirt on in the evening and be comfortable. Last weekend was so hot and humid I struggled to get the front of my house painted. So far this weekend its long sleeve weather. I'll take that...

Heading towards the end of the most miserable summer over the 20 years here. Drought. Dead fields. I lost all my pastures. Irrigators screaming at me as their crops die and I must be to blame. Cheating them out of their water.
So, the trees are turning color and that is always spectacular. Moving slowly on to a better year....I hope.

Happy autumn! My favorite time of the year and a great season to smoke a pipe and watch the leaves fall.

Living in the great white north, I lament the coming of fall (despite it being my favorite season) because of the inevitable onslaught of sub-zero temperatures, biting winds, horrible, dangerous driving and terrible, gray days (we've had runs of over 80 days without seeing the sun). We have a saying here about our weather: We've got 9 months of winter and 3 months of bad skiing.
12 months of hot summer would be just fine for me.

Love the Autumn colors, hate the temperatures. Anything below 80ยฐF and my long sleeves come out.

I'm a huge fan of Summer but after the weather this year (2 months of record breaking rain, heat and humidity, and then Florence) I'm ready for a change and some cooler temps.

We've finally seen a break through and left the 90+ temps ... the next few days call for low 80's with some rain. Rain in the desert is so much more special than elsewhere. The smells are amazing!

I like them all. And especially the transitions.
Spring is that much sweeter for having lived through winter.

We had our first frost of the season this morning. It's cold outside only 2 degrees today, but the sun is out and there's not a could in the sky. It's brilliant. Not long until Christmas.

Mid 30s at night. No freeze yet. We often get snow on Halloween.
