Woodbridge was sold out and they never received Stonehaven. I’m sooooooooooo happy I recently acquired an 8.oz sealed bag of Stonehaven for “ peanuts “......so to say!!! |

I tried buying...twice.
Both times I got confirmation via text and email stating my purchase was processed.
Each time it was followed up about 5 minutes later by a message via text/email stating my order "has been cancelled" and the "money has been refunded to your credit card".
Oh well. That was absurd.
Glad I'm not low on blends.
And doubly glad I don't rely on Pipe and Leaf for my tobacco purchases.
Moving on...

I just received an email from Pipe & Leaf that my money has been credited back to my credit card company and the THREE tobacco’s that were CONFIRMED in stock and will be shipped 10/18/2018 is NOW out of stock. When I placed the order over 4 hours ago ALL was fine. Now on their website ALL tobacco’s are sold out. I’m COMPLETELY done for my quest for Esoterica tobacco’s!!!

I emailed to ask why and the owner said that "the address doesn't match up with the records at the bank." I went into my bank website and copy-pasted the address, word-for-word into the purchasing fields. Still canceled. Used my wife's card. Canceled. I took a look at my bank statement and the purchases had in fact been accepted and gone through, but the owner manually canceled them after the fact, each and every time. I emailed to ask if I could call and place an order over the phone. All I got was "no" as a response. I still don't know what to think, but it was deliberate and insulting on his part. What I can't wrap my head around is "why?" |

Still, no reason for them to be rude jerks about it. They lost my business long ago for price gouging then abusing forum members who called them out on it at PipesMag.

I'm sure other Sobranies were sold after my attempted order(s). I think if it had been out of stock he would likely have simple emailed "it's out of stock" rather than make up some weird thing about the card not being accepted (over and over during a back and forth of several emails), when the bank statement clearly showed it was. I think he was "picking and choosing" who would get product and who wouldn't, possibly on the basis of .... your name? the items in your cart? that's what i don't get... |
