Am I too snarky? I try to be balanced. Being snarky on a seesaw (teeter totter) doesn't count as being balanced. 😁

Am I too snarky? I try to be balanced. Not as far as I'm concerned. I appreciate your good natured ribbing and banter.

Our County Sheriff race has gotten ugly. Normally it is a yawn.

About a decade ago on another forum in galaxy far far away I started a write in campaign for a heifer of calm disposition (no knee jerk decisions). More than able to stand her ground and keep it cropped. No contributions were sent in for the presidential campaign of Nona D'Bove.

Beardedpipesmoker, I wouldn’t label myself a political junkie, but this happens to be my favorite time of year.

Brewster's millions is a Richard Pryor and John candy film where Richard Pryor's character, Montgomery Brewster, inherits 30 million dollars which he has to spend in 30 days in order to inherit 300 million. But he can't have anything of value at the end of it and nobody can know what he's doing. Part of his plan is to spend it on an ad campaign called 'none of the above'. It's a good film. Thanks. Never saw it. I will check it out. I saw this with my dad and step-mom when it was released at a theatre in Huntington Village (@lonecoyote). John Candy was always hysterical. Richard Pryor was not just funny, he was pioneer. After Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor paved the way for the rawness that many comedians strive(d) for.

Well, it was going well.... Glad I'm not the one who f--'d it up this time. If that is a response to what I posted, nothing political was said... I had a good experience at a rally. If adults think that somehow f&$k’s up, and deserves to go to lockdown time, so be it, but count me out of that silliness.

I know I'm up to about fifty emails a day beggin' for money. Sometimes they deign to give a reason; I'm for the People! but with midterms approaching a portion just say, My goal is $100,000 by tomorrow! GIMME MONEY!!!
There is a fellow on one of the sites I visit trying to become a senator or congressman, and he writes of his experiences. Last post he said, not only is their workday only six hours, but for four! of those hours, you are expected to be across the street in a call center, beggin' for money. He says they give you a script: this guy should be good for $500, this one for $250, etc.

All of the other states have decided to interfere with the election in Texas this year. Hundreds of millions of dollars for ads are making it unbearable. I've heard this too. A lot of out of state money pouring into Texas to try to influence their elections.

Well, admittedly I'd had a couple of drinks, but there was only one political rally going on in Mesa and it was all over the news, and I'd just been reading about some of the, er, problematic statements the speaker of that rally had been making. Did you really not want everyone to know who that rally was for?

Big rally today in downtown Houston people have been camping out for two days on the streets to see the El Presidente . The major networks will report that only twelve people showed up. The hottest senate election in the country between a white guy named Robert who calls himself Beto and a Canadian Cuban named Rafael who calls himself Ted. Voters will be left with fewer choices than a restaurant that only Serves Pepsi products. This stuff is funnier than the fall Tv lineup.
