What is your best pipe that you like to take with you on the go? Some people may not have a preference on this, but for me it is my Peterson Sportsman, that little buggger smokes like a charm and you often won't find me travelling without it.

My Grabow Color Dukes or my MMs. Really anything I would mind scratching or losing.

I would always take my Peterson 307 when I was traveling frequently for work. It's actually my worst smoking pipe. I still haven't found a blend that smokes well in it. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

For me it's either my MM Legend or Country Gentleman...no surprise there. They are trustworthy and reliable and there's no faffing around - just a consistently good smoke from both. Plus, they aren't expensive to replace should they get broken in transit.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated. That is strange. I have a 307 and it smokes great. I burn everything in it without trouble. I am certain you clean yours and the water trap is clear. Perhaps the hole into the bowl is too small? Mine is one of my favorite pipes for driving, along with an old Kaywoodie Chesterfield which is a clone of the 307. I have this notion that, in the event of a collision, that bend will flip the pipe out of my mouth rather than be driven into my mouth. Well, that is the theory, anyway.

Do you mean traveling or do mean really traveling? My daily pipe roll pipe contains a 1982 quarter bent Dunhill Chestnut Rhodesian with a Cumberland stem. My larger multi-day roll contains two pre-1964 Peterson 312s because they're great smokers, bomb proof and not much can wrong with those two on the road. It goes without saying there's always a cob or two in the glove box. MM General is my preference.

What I would call my "traveling pipe" would be either my 720-L Edward's bent bulldog or my 713-L Edward's apple. Both I bought back in 1972 and smoke anything I put in them like the pipe was made for that blend

My smoking while driving pipes are my Morgan Bones Full Bent Brandy and bent Dublin. Great smokers and hard to damage. For longer trips Iโll pack a variety of pipes.

Iโm dangerous behind the wheel with a pipe so I enjoy one or two large hand rolled cigars on my 2.5 hour 110 mile round trip commute.

I don't smoke in the car , so no driving pipe for me. I usually just grab what ever I fancy where I am going and enjoy it when I am there.

To both above Baboo ^^^^^^^ you wonโt be disappointed with the cooler smoke. Still many bowls available, plus custom made as well. I purchased mine restored and a high polish last year on eBay with the straight stem and bent stem system and 2 NOS bowls for $05.00. Iโve purchased 4 custom made bowls and now Iโm good๐๐๐.

The seller from eBay has ALL the screws and adapters youโll ever need....plus heโd send extra O rings if you ask. They are common sizes sold at Loweโs Hardware or Home Depot. In over 18 months of smoking this Kirsten the O rings are still perfect. Here is a picture with two bowls I have nearby. You can see the straight and bent stem systems.....enjoy๐๐ PS The two bowls shown are custom made by Don Warren......all FOUR of his bowls smoke fabulously!!!

Plus, the ONLY screw is the one that comes with a new bowl adapter. NO others screws are used with this pipe. Easy to smoke and enjoy. Real easy to clean with a piece of rolled up paper towel and a Q-Tip๐๐๐

Kirsten direct gets $15.00 for the screw and bowl adapter. Doug charges $5.00 for any extra. One or TWO will come with your pipe if you ask nicely. I have his cell number as well if you ever need it.
