Just received an email from these good folks, regarding the above pipe tobacco blend. Appears to be $11.50 per 2oz tin. If you're interested, here's their web linky: www.thecountrysquireonline.com/product/cornell-diehl-carolina-red-flake-small-batch-series/Description from the tin: "A blend of the finest North Carolina grown red Virginias from 2015, Carolina Red Flake is Cornell & Diehl's tribute to the Old Belt. Taken straight from Carolina soil, these top-tiered Virginias are all grown, thrashed, blended, and then lovingly pressed and carefully sliced right here in the heart of old tobacco country.
Sweet, tangy, and spicy, Carolina Red Flake is both surprisingly straightforward and pleasantly complex: you'll find it's rich, deep, and earthy, with undertones of dried cranberries, orchard grass, and citrus."

I opened up my computer this morning and I had emails from both the Country Squire and Tobaccopipes that Carolina Red Flake was in stock. I see that it has already been sold out at Country Squire but it is still in stock at Tobaccopipes.

I have about 80-90 grams of Frog Morton cellar that I am not a fan of. If anyone would like to trade two tins of this blend for the frog mortons cellar I'd be down. Broke as a bloke so can't make a purchase this time and dont wanna miss out.

I sent a message to Per Jensen and asked about that flake coming to market, I will post his reply in this thread.

Pretty fast sellout at SP since I believe it was allocated the most online out of the 6,000 tins headed to the US.

I just checked my cellar, the 2016 and 2017 releases were limited to 2,400 tins compared to 8,000 tins this year, I can't help but wonder if they aren't the recipient of the red leaf that went to McClelland's formerly. The 2016, is starting to bulge...hope it ain't mold.

I'm sure there were suppliers who got left in the cold when Mcclelland shut the doors. C&D just picking up the slack. 56oo tins isn't that much slack.

Never had any so I grabbed 4 tins. Going to crack one and cellar the rest. What is a good length of time for this? Year, 2, 5?

Boy, the hubbub over this stuff on FB is insane. Some guys bought 15-20 tins, and people who missed out are all mad that those people bought it all. So, now people are posting pictures of their stacks of tins, and the infighting is ridiculous.

I didn't buy any. It wasn't tobacco buying week for me. I needed pipe making supplies instead.

pretty sure any company can make a numbered limited run of anything and it will sell out fast.(The Beast Blech) There are more limited edition Cuban cigars than the regular ones now.
