I have done 3 pucks so far: Captain Black Grape and FVF 50/50. I would rather keep them separate. dave g Witching Hour blend. No difference. 1980's Edgeworth Sliced. Much better. Most likely due to the added water. It was a touch crunchy before and now it is perfect when chopped up. I nuke for 20 seconds after adding a few drops of distilled water. I added a few more to the Edgeworth. I tighten once or twice a day but never really crank down on it. Pucks have stayed hard as a rock and some have been out of the press for over a month. If nothing else it is sure a great way to store tobacco.

I like the imprint on the tobacco. You can still buy sheets with Days-O-work and Brown's Mule tobacco that were used back in the the to press their logo onto their plugs.
Your plug looks very wet/gooey. Did you add anything to the tobacco before pressing?

It has some vanilla casing in it, which is what I think caused that. Hopefully being jarred for several weeks will dry it out some, then give it a try.
