Enjoyed a tasty grilled ham and cheese along with some vegetable soup lunch, and am now smoking year 2000 Christmas Cheer in a 1980 Stanwell 668 medium bend with a multi-colored ferrule, half black sandblasted, half brown smooth, rough top with a black vulcanite stem. A bottle of Cheerwine made with pure cane sugar is my drink. Watching Hopalong Cassidy.

Just finished a bowl of butternut burley as a first smoke of the day. Had it in a cob and now on to a bowl of cinnamon roll in my brandy Rdpipe...a great pipe in every way. Smokes dry and cool all the way to the bottom...don't know I'm at the bottom unless I suck in some ash.

Sitting outside on a beautiful day in Northern California. Smoking C&D Opening Night in a Dunhill Shell Briar Bulldog, Group 4. A little later it'll be HH Old Dark Fired. Have to admit, I did buy the Castello I was going to wait till next year to get. But after all, next year is only 2 days away... It's an Old Antiquari finish bent billiard. Can't wait till it arrives and I can smoke it. And, killing time by watching the dog chase squirrels.

I wish I could post pictures from my phone. After sitting behind a computer most of the day for 30 years I just hate to get on it.
Now smoking P&W #400 in a no-name Cavalier meerschaum. I don't usually like a straight English. In the meer it's quite enjoyable. Coffee with cream and sugar on the side.

“For preventing disorders arising in several places within this jurisdiction, by reason of some still observing such festivals as were superstitiously kept in other countries, to the great dishonor of God and offence of others, it is therefore ordered by this Court and the authority thereof, that whosoever shall be found observing any such day as Christmas or the like, either by forbearing of labor, feasting, or any other way, upon such accountants as aforesaid, every person so offending shall pay of every such offence five shillings, as a fine to the county.”Christmas was almost universally accepted throughout the US by 1840, and was eventually declared a National Holiday in 1870.I am smoking Gawith Hoggarth Century Black Spice while refreshing my memory in History, later a cup of chamomile before bed.

Hard to believe that Christmas was considered a sacrilege...glad those days are gone. Filling a bowl for after dinner...most likely AJ's #1, in honor of a good friend and brother...no one finer than him...in a GBD Virgin Canadian given to me by AJ...several years ago.

Blockade Runner again. In a Choquin bent Billiard. In from splitting firewood. Cold out there. Swinging a Nine Pound axe into knot filled Ponderosa and Red Fir warmed me up. So, I feel as though I earned this smoke!

My first pipe in a few days, so I’m going with something on the light side........... Butternut Burley date on jar 4/2015 Pipe of choice: Kaywoodie Chinrester restored to “ mint “ condition. I’m a clencher, this pipe is extremely comfortable. This is the pipe I was purchasing from James aka Scrooge. I received a PM from James telling me the package is on it’s way and “ Merry Christmas “. Again, the generosity of members of this forum is overwhelming. Once I’m back on my feet in a couple of days I will be sending James something he wants and will appreciate. Here are pictures of this beauty, it’s soooooooo comfortable clenched.....UNBELIEVABLE 👍👍👍👍👍
