Woke up after four hours to feed the wood stove. That is job one this time of year.
Let the dog out to do her business. There is a very skinny coyote hanging around who needs to be warned off. I am tempted to put food out for the mangey mutt but know that will not end well.

Martin ^^^^^^^ I know just how you feel. I had roughly 2 hours of broken sleep. Tonight will be 5 fingers of Southern Comfort and a sleeping pillππ ...dang, Ted... I do vodka and Unisom... how come we're still around? Mine is 12.5 Ambien and I might get 3 to 4 hours of sleep tonight. I only take them on Wednesday & Saturday night. This way the meds might work properly?!?!

Fatten that coyote up and youβll have a new house petπ A neighbor of mine, I was his closest neighbor at about two miles, used to feed a mama and pups. He could sit outside and they came to his side but he never tried to touch them. Coyote is not quite a "dog" as we think of dogs. They always remain the Trickster and will do things we do not like. I like coyotes even though they have preyed upon my poultry over the years. I cannot blame them for being hungry.

Glad someone on here sleeps wellπππ Iβve been walking around in a daze today!! I donβt nap, if I do that will cancel out any sleep during the early morning hours.

Glad to hear there are other sufferers out there.
I have severe rheumatoid arthritis, a spinal injury, and limbs that are also in really bad shape. Lots of failed operations on all said limbs.
So I mean honestly the narcotic pain medicine eventually stopped working at very high doses. Then I switched to medical cannabis (which, believe it or not, as big of a deadhead as I am, I stopped smoking years ago because too much money was going to cartels and thugs..). So now we can get out medicine legally from licensed growers who aren't violent criminals. Wonderful. One small problem. Even at the highest dosage, medical marijuana for me only takes the edge off and puts me in a better mood about the whole cripple situation.
I really have no idea how I ambulate as much as I do. 5-6 shows I hope I can make it to all of them this summer. Then this winter I need to make my way back to thailand. Being there is wonderful in the heat with my condition. Getting there is hell on wheels. Or in airports in the sky. Whatever.
I've been on all the z pills and benzos for years none of it helps. Tried sleep hypnosis I mean you name it. When pain is the barrier to sleep and it's irretractable pain you're kind of up __ Creek as they say in the south of the us.
The really sad thing is that insomnia, severe enough, can kill you. You can also start to "trip" a little if you are sleep deprived enough. And it's never a good trip. It's a paranoid angry delusional trip that leads to bad mental places. This shite is nothing to fool with and I can't believe modern medicine hasn't come up with a solution for me. I'm going to have to do a George Harrison and head out to India and figure out if the Hindu docs have a few tricks up their sleeve. Tried thai and chinese traditional docs but nothing doing. Maybe Vietnam is worth looking into for me also. I need something to knock me DEAD for 8 hours a night. He'll I'd take 4.

Once I arrived back here last night I had a tall glass of Southern Comfort neat and a 12.5 Ambien. I actually slept close to 5 hours...I feel much better. However, that also means tonight Iβll likely be up around the clock....OUI

Well, last night was another lack luster night of broken sleep......less than 2 hours with much tossing and turning. Now all day that darn song will be playing in my head.......like I need an ear worm right now!!

Well at least the daughter is resting. Up at 3am looks like I can make 24 hours. I have been thinking of placing a sturdy pole in the yard that I can run head first into and knock myself out, just need to work out the details on how to put a blankey over me when I go down.
