Ok, so, I just saw this thread. While I won't say I am an insomniac (in the classic sense), I do have severe problems sleeping due to my blood sugar changes (I have type 1 Diabetes). If my sugars are changing rapidly, going up, down, or are up and/or down, I cannot sleep, period. I am going to try to go to sleep now as I got about 3 hours of sleep last night.....
Also, I liked literally every posting in this thread as I can understand (to some extent) what being a night owl and/or having insomnia is like. I wish you all better (or good) rest. Talk on this thread tomorrow at around 2:30AM PST again, lol!

I'm here. Although, we got woken by our youngest during the night saying she felt sick. I think it's because she doesn't want to go to school. She's having a rough time at the minute. It's heartbreaking. So not much sleep after 4am. I didn't get up though. I tossed and turned. I prefer to do that in case I drop off at some point.

Woke up to thunder and rain a little after three. Now nursing a cup of Joe and cigarette while listening to the heavy drops crash to earth. This kind of weather really messes up my plan for doing nothing.

Wide awake in the USA bracket for rv awning is broke from the wind. It is too darn dark to fix that now and when daylight comes it will probably rain. Well at least I can charge up the batteries on my cordless tools. Momma took the day off but now I got fixin chores there is only one thing to do. Make more coffee and create a plan that I wont follow.

Well the wind died down and the rain is pouring down. I got lucky the heads of two screws popped off and as luck would have I had two new screws on hand. So the awning is fixed and me well I am drying off from a very eye opening cold shower.

Good morning, Ted. Just woke up, here. Five hours of sleep. I guess that is ok. Looking forward to a day just lounging around the house and back porch. I am holding off on any Christmas shopping until Monday and Tuesday. It would be a madhouse today. Might as well play it easy.
