Hello, and good morning! It's 536am and I've not slept...for the fourth night in a row!
I'm watching Star Trek:The Animated Series, contemplating an early morning smoke.
So,if,like me,you can't sleep, post here, and tell us how you're passing the time!

Natural born night owl here. Exact opposite of my wife and son. Always wondered what it would be like to work the grave yard shift. Sittin' outside tryimg some Ennerdale for the first time, although it's only past midnight here.

Fingers crossed. I'm smoking Ennerdale Flake too. Hope you enjoy it.

My cell phones screen is a bit to small to really work with the chat room. In any case, it appears that I am the last of the night owls still around.😁

I'm always up late, and often have insomnia. I find things to keep me busy until I think I can go to sleep.

I have severe issues getting proper sleep, either it’s pain or one of my meds. Way to much going on in my mind. There have been a number of times that I can be up around the clock for 3 to 5 days in a row. It’s something I’ve dealt with for 7 plus years.
I will read a book, watch old TV shows that I missed out on due to my busy schedule working and travels. Listen to music with a fabulous set of headphones 🎧. Or surf the web, it’s getting monotonous!!

I am one of those cat nap people a couple hours of sleep here and there. I often joke that if I were to pass I would have lived twice as long as most people because I did not waste time sleeping.

Natural Insomniac and Night Owl. Bad combination. I just try to keep myself occupied.

I'm naturally a night owl but work won't let me. I try and go to sleep around midnight and the only way is to read to get my mind off to-do's, frustrations, etc to finally go to sleep. I also use earplugs now since any little thing out of the ordinary will wake me up and then I'm up. I feel for you buddy!

I'm afraid I can't contribute here... At the minute I'm able to sleep well. I feel for all my friends here who can't.

As soon as my head hits the pillow, it is lights out!
Q: Why do the Teamster’s have a Horse as their mascot? A: Because likewise, they can sleep standing up.

Had insomnia since I was born. Now, II use a lot of valerian root and melatonin, but sometimes the mind still churns and keeps me awake. I will lay in my dark bedroom rather than read, hoping sleep will find me or at least let my body rest.
If it's really bad, I'll put on the earphones and listen to some ambient music to help me relax.
Sadly, no pipe smoking here, though it's always a temptation.

I only sleep a few hours a night, but sleep hard & get my full rest when I do so. I’ll have to check this thread out when I’m up late some night.

I never get a good nights sleep. If I get a good 5 hours I'm grateful. Not being able to sleep, overthinking everything which leads to that anxiety thing is awful !!

Sleeping SUCKS, what a waste of valuable time on the planet, spending a third of your life sleeping away. Mattress companies may try to convince you that it's the elixir of life, but it's not.

Used to have issues with the pain meds I was taking...sometimes they would wear off...got that taken care of but then I had nightmares constantly...wake up in a cold sweat and shaking..talked to the Dr. and he prescribed trazodone...take it every night now...no problem sleeping, no nightmares...can still get up to use the bathroom (different issue) and fall right back to sleep. Might be something you folks might want to check out or yourselves.
