I’m sitting at between 200-205, heaviest I’ve been in 2 plus years. I’d like to get down to 185, a very comfortable weight for me. My plan is to eliminate alcohol except a glass of wine on the weekends, limit carbs which I’m pretty good at and start doing some early morning yoga with my wife. I would be a nice bonding time for us and very healthy. I’m gunning to lose the weight before March 1st.

I had a doc suggest Sugar Busters one of the chapters is Meat the twice a year treat. No thank you. I try to abstain from bread and potatoes I can smell where a donut shop used to be and French fries from a mile away.

I just stepped on the scales. I'm 15st 5lbs. I want to lose 2st this year. Do you have any weight goals? Lose weight? Gain weight? I feel this thread might spur us on. Could you translate this to a slightly more modern measurement? I think that you weigh 190 lbs.

I am 6' even when I compensate for my twice broken leg. I was up to 267 at one point. I am now fluctuating around 255. I would love to be done to 220 before next Christmas.

For 2019 I hope to not buy a pipe weighing over 65 grams. Sorry, but I'm a natural born wise arse...

I want to take off 60 at the very least. People don't believe me when I tell them what I weigh. Even in my Army days- walking around at 230-240, I looked thin. I used to say it was all in the brains and the balls. hahaha But I can't take another year of weighing close to three bills. Too many nice clothes in my closet going to waste.

I would really like to see Jiminks lose 15 pounds or so.
His wife spoils him badly as he fares sumptuously at home, his posts exposes it so.
I am already a perfect specimen....I regularly get mistaken for a young Brad Pitt.

I may have shared this here before...
About 5 years ago I was in a pretty serious car accident, my car was rear ended by a full size van doing over 60 mph when I was stopped.
Jacked up my back, L5 disc.
After a few years of therapy, steroids, anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxers and pain pills I ballooned up to 280 lbs.
My doctor finally said "Dino, the problem with your back is most likely your FRONT".
So, in July of 17 I went on a modified paleo/keto diet (modified in that I dropped almost all of the carbs from my diet except a few beers on the weekend)
By Jan of 18 I was down to 185-190.
After a year back on the "road warrior" scene, and a recent trip to Europe, I'm tipping the scales at 215. :-(
So, starting Tuesday I'll be back on the low/no carb diet. Eating plenty of meat/bacon and veggies.
Will be back down to 185 by May... In time for the cruise I've booked for Blondie's and my 30th anniversary. ;-)

Just weighed myself this morning. Down 4 lbs. So I'm currently at 211 lbs. Although, funny you said 190 lbs... That's my goal.

I’m 5’ 10 1/2”, weigh 165 pounds this morning. I’d much prefer being stable around 175 pounds, I’m big boned with wide shoulders. Need to eat more👌👍👍

In March I went in for a heart test and was told by the nurse I was obese. I was at 232 lbs. and 6' tall. This is the heaviest I had ever been,my usual weight is around 175-180. I put a lot of weight on when my knee went bad on me and then having it replaced slowed me quite a bit. I'm now at 202 and would like to get to around 190 and maintain that.

I hope to start golfing again this year so I can get some more exercise in. And yes we can hit 190 and hope we do.

6'1" and I float around 175-185 lbs. Ive been this way since I quit drinking beer 3-4 years ago. A 12 or 18 pack a night will really put some pounds on!
Best of luck to you all trying to lose, or gain weight.

My final weights was 40.7 lbs. I added 33 lbs since last year. My goal for 2019 is to add another 25 lbs to my cellar.
Now to me:
I’m 6’0 (probably 5’11 now due to degenerating discs) and weight 184 lbs. Prior to becoming aware of my spinal issues (Late July), my weight was 199 lbs. I had been trying to lose 15-20 pounds for a year or so (prior to July). The weight loss was surprising as I’ve barely been mobile some days.. I guess the stress of the unknown played a part in the loss. I don’t have a weight goal for this year. My plan is to take care of my back, strengthen my core, be grateful and not despair during moments of setbacks.

Two words: Keto. Ok, that's only one, but it is the only one you need.
For most of my Coast Guard career, after I got older and calories in/calories out didn't work anymore, I would keep my weight under control by going on and off of a low carb diet. Gain some weight, stop eating carbs and drinking beer and lose, gain some, lose some. Wash rinse repeat.
After I retired in 2013 I started eating like a 20 year old again. I put on some serious gross tonnage. This summer I was over 270 I'm 5'10" and just turned 60 last week. My BP was out of control and I felt like crap.
On July 23rd I started a serious ketogenic diet. Less than 20 total grams of carbs a day, moderate protein, and fat to satiety. I cut all sugars, grains, and starches as well as all vegetable oils. I eat fatty meats, green veggies, and lots of natural saturated fats (butter, bacon grease, tallow, lard and coconut oils).
I have lost just under 70 lbs and I am down to 203 lbs. My BP has normalized and I am off my meds. My gout is gone, as is any sign of the arthritis in my right ankle. I no longer use my C-pap machine. I feel better than I have in years. I have gone from 42 waist pants to 36 and some 34s and from XXL shirts to L and some Ms. I eat great food, don't restrict my calories, am not hungry and don't feel deprived. my mood is improved and I have tons of energy. I no longer need an afternoon nap a don't get out of breath when I tie my shoes. The only exercise I get is an hour long daily walk with the dog.
I plan on losing another 28.8 lbs to take me down to 175.

I plan on losing another 28.8 lbs to take me down to 175. I tried going full keto for about 3 months a year and a half ago. I didn't lose much, but I didn't gain either. I ate a lot of bacon and Ribeyes. I might have to give it another go. I'm almost in the same boat as you were, and I need a manageable way to lose weight.
