I leave Rio Rico Arizona tomorrow morning for Chicago. If I wasn’t in the rush trip mode Darren you’d be getting a visitor. But I’m heading out 10 towards Las Cruces and then north towards Kansas City. You need to take that bike of yours out on a road trip to Illinois to visit family! I’m just sad. I always like to meander and check out new things. And this spring’s trip was supposed to be stopping at Missouri meerschaum on my way back.

I know I've posted a pic or two here of my 04 Fatboy, but here's another one..... Ok, Ok..... two ;-P When I got the bike last year it had this seat... It wasn't that bad, but the steep step up to the passengers level started to wear on my tailbone if I rode for any time at all. And it forced me to sit more forward on the bike than I really wanted. So... I like the way this not only eliminates that high step up hitting my tail bone, but I really like the lines on it now.

I just looked in the mirror, no red hair, not a stepchild.

Blondie and I went out for Date Night last night. (Man is it good to have the pubs and restaurants open again, limited seating, but still) We hopped on Farley (my daughters name for our Harley... Chris Farley, the Fat Boy Harley) and found our way to the Pinehurst Brewing Company. We each had one of their special brews and a great dinner. While I was inside settling up on the tab, Blondie went outside and took a picture of our "Coffee Cruiser" as she likes to call it. (we get out most weekends on it and run down to our local coffee shop) I know, I know, more of the same right? Sorry, can't help myself. Really am enjoyin this little 2 wheeler.

Weather was great today. Afters getting most of the "To Do" list finished up, I hopped on the Harley and went into the village for lunch. (Man is it great to have the restaurants opening back up huh?!? ) Snapped this photo when I was out and about this morning... While at lunch, I kept having this feeling someone was watching me....

Nice … reminds me a bit of the old Norton bikes.
I like the looks of those but never really felt "comfy" on a Café style bike.

Very true. Cafe racres are rarely conducive to long haul comfort. Definintely, short runs at best.

That Velo and the Gold Star above it are meant for performance on winding roads like the they have in Britain. Not for grinding along on arrow straight Freeways for hours at a time. That is when highway pegs, pull back bars and a deep, couch like seat come on handy. Both have their own appeal.

I had a fairing, highway pegs, and saddle bags. It was at least as good and comfortable as my nephews Harleys on those 400 mile days. When the extras came off at the destination it left them in the dust. Great on dirt and winding roads and better looking everywhere. I miss that bike.
