I am smoking Bill Bailey's Black Blend while reading Military news. With the help of God and thanks to some "good guys" the civilians will celebrate the Christmas free and safe. The Latakia fans [as i am] will appreciate the addition of Syrian Latakia in their blends. Hi, I followed your reference to military news, & Googled to find some informative facts of military hardware , & news & military life of our professional young man in uniform, & thanks for peace this season of peace , & prayers for Syria ....

G'eve, the insomnia strikes again, a snapshot of my rather unkempt pipes used in rotation, six days, then a day of rest, they are my UK Briars the Medico bulldog was my first regular pipe used for over 30 years on the right , with the Hardcastle on the left used less often, they need some tender loving care to keep them pristine., a Parker Rhodesian & Billiard, the Blakemar & Rattray. I have fallen out of the practise of using my SLR for photos, getting lazy in my elder years. I have my new petite but handsome Kong pipe on the go with my regular mix of all sorts, my stock mix. They are getting stale like me , I need a pilgrimage I have not had a days break for over ten years now, it grinds you down, I will have to make a new years resolution, to have a Holy holiday..... GW.

Disassembled and cleaned two guns this morning I inherited from my Pops after he passed away this summer, one a little Marlin .22 lever action rifle which I'm pretty sure was his first gun and the other a J.C. Higgins 12 gauge pump shotgun, standard Sears model from my research. To the best of my knowledge he never fired either in my lifetime and didn't have any ammunition on hand upon his death. I still have my first gun, a little .22 Remington rifle as well as a Remington 1100 12 gauge pump shotgun, neither of which I've fired in decades either. The apple mustn't have fallen far from the tree. Funny though as Grandpa purchased both of mine for me as gifts, probably Pop's to him as well; however, Pop and I were the only two of the three of us who served in the United States Armed Forces - Go figure?
Now smoking a bowl of Mac Baren Va #1 in a James Upshall Tilshead Canadian, drinking a cup of hot tea and listening to ESPN radio.

G'eve, I enjoyed a Romeo Y Julieta Puritos mini cigar the best of Cuban cigars, I favour mini cigars for a quick smoke, if I want a long smoke I fill a pipe. I am puffing on my first bowl of Germain's Special Latakia Flake, in my Blakemar Aristocrat rustic straight poker, early days yet, I broke & rubbed the flakes rather than roll or fold them, but perhaps more time will allow me to experiment further. Bye.
