Hi Dan, yes I love the "critta's" myself , though my favourite human Critta's, dislike my pipe , my dog & birds & small mammals do not seem to be bothered by the harmonious aroma of any of my tobacco smoke at all, but caring science would need to do some tests on my friends to prove me wrong.... Though I am missing my pipe , but my taste buds are dead at present, but I am enjoying reading about it but that is second best, like pipe "porn" especially Youtube videos, the Smoking Dagners have me reaching for my corncobs & the Bremen Piper for my meerschaum cigar holder & Mutt'n'chops longing for a nice traditional briar & HolySmokeNPipesPadre, makes me want to show some backbone and fast & Padre Piper makes me want to pray a write a few ghostly pipe poems & ParsonRick says get on your bike, hit the road and do not come back, the Pipe Monk says chill out , it is only withdrawal from a dangerous substance peace man. Anyway normal service will resume as soon as possible, only kidding folks, bye for now. Stan... you mentioned The Pipe Monk... are you referring to my longtime friend, Vikas from India? Hi Dan, I do not know any of the guys personally but they all subscribed to my old channel & I subscribed to theirs, but The Pipe Monk has not posted much recently & he is from India, but they are all famous members of the YouTube Pipe community, but excuse me I was being a bit glib, I am very fond of the fellowship of all the community, but are you on YouTube Dan ? though I do not know The Pipe Monks name, it must be the same gentleman, I seem to remember he had a health problem, I hope he is OK?

PS, hi Dan, I checked the Pipe Monk he is posting again , & has made a Merry Xmas post, he seems busy & hoping to move to Canada, I am new to the Pipe hobby rather than pipe smoking a lot of you guys & gals must have been on the network a long time & go back a long way, do any older pipers subscribe to the pipe hobby magazines, I have cupboards full of amateur radio magazines going back over 30 years. I forget, not being part of a local club , that side of the hobby, I hope I am not treading on to many toes.....but you cannot teach an old dog new tricks.bye.

Yes, Vikas (Pipe Monk) was off YouTube for awhile due to health issues, but has recovered well. He is fairly knowledgeable about pipes & tobacco, but I would consider him more of a serious enthusiast than a field expert. I am personally not a contributor to YouTube, and don't ever plan to be as I am most private and anonymous in most cyber-venues. Sir Walter Raleigh in a Baraccini Meer-line Briar w/P-Lip...

Hi, I am pleased he is well , he seems to be into high tech on the software side , I started out on the hardware applied science side of tech , when it comes to the professional & amateur divide of tobacco & piping I am not acquainted with the pros & hams on the forums , but this forum is better than most , & more open than a lot of others, ignorance is bliss they say, but I am am pure ham in that respect...not much bothered with the business or reputations, but manners maketh the man, as the new kid on the block., and as a guest on an international ship, in unknown waters, I sometimes want to jump ship like a Robert Louis Stevenson story, hi...excuse the clichés, but it is the lingua franca amidst different departments of the English language, perhaps I should revert to the new lingua franca, twitters...bye.

Have had some Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake under glass in a flip-top jar for about three years. The coins are so dark now the Cavendish center is barely detectable. Moisture content appears perfect. Folded and stuffed a couple of coins in a GBD 549 Varichrome bulldog and it's quite heavenly. It's the only one I've ever had luck with the fold and stuff method. It makes a difference with this one for me. Aged, I might even give this one a slight edge over Escudo. Drinking a pint of Guinness, listening to ESPN radio.

Paladin Black Cherry in a MM straight legend. I bought this awhile back, but when I opened it the smell of play-doh met my nostrils and I kind of put it in the very back of the shelf. I figured today I should give it a try. OMG, I have never been so grateful for a smoker's candle in my life. It smells like I'm smoking a wet rag. Maybe I can redeem this some day by mixing it with other OTC I'm not that crazy about. But for now I gotta find something better to make up for it!
