Blind Sample No. 2 is none other than Peter Stokkebye - Proper English. When I actually enjoyed English blends, it was my favorite because it was smooth and simple. The bonus one might throw you for a loop

Absolutely right on the simple and smooth. I was looking for complexity where there was none. Thanks for sharing. Now moving on to the bonus blend and the RD blend.

Been smoking the blind tasting bonus blend #3. This one is quite interesting and very enjoyable. No toppings (not an aromatic), no Latakia or Orientals. I don't think (may be wrong on this) there is any Perique either. Just doesn't have that pepperiness on the tongue. I'm thinking it is a Burley Virginia blend. It must be a mild Burley as I've had some Burleys and they are not my favorite blends, too cigarette like. But this one is very mild and enjoyable. Touch of sweetness. Virginia because of the slight sweetness. Not a red Virginia, maybe a lighter Virginia. It's just not bold. Overall a very nice, nice blend. I could smoke bowls of this and not get tired of it. Maybe its aged Burley, but I don't know. Smelling it in the bag it's very indistinct and it took several bowls to really come up with the conclusion I did. Josh, I like this one a lot. Looking forward to finding out what it is. Perry

It is Fribourg & Treyer's Blackjack. When I first opened the tin I didn't care for it. I put it in a jar and few months later it was a lot better.
It's a good blend and can be a HUGE p.i.t.a. to get ahold of.

Ah, I looked it up on Tobacco Reviews. It's a straight Virgina. So much for me thinking it was Burley. But that fits. I'm not Burley crazy and this tasted good. Most reviewers gave it 4 star. JimInks gave it 2.

I'm not too big on burleys either. I dont think I've had tobacco from F&T that I dont like. Pipe tobacco or snuff.

JimInks gave it 2. Definitely a 4 star blend in my books. Still have a few tins stored away. I can’t smoke or enjoy any Virginia fresh, must have 4 plus years of aging. Then we get along just fine👌👍👍
