Tee in Cajun is small or an affectionate term, my Cajun Grandmaw who I stayed with could not say Brad it would come out T Broad, little did she know how accurate she was as I got older. My Grandfather was a Trapper, rice Farmer, cattleman , anything to make ends meet. Lots of knowledge needed to be a good trapper, and lots of get up and go. Good Story Miss Margeret.

I visited the family historian, and saw a picture of an old cowboy on a horse circa 1870's... "Who the heck is that, I asked aunt Ruby" "That" She said, "is your great grandfather Amos, he was the trailboss for wagon trains...a couple of times he should have died when he was young, almost lost his scalp, it was a good thing he didn't or we wouldn't be having this conversation."
Fast forward.... During the El Niño winter of 1997-98, rain fell in a record-setting 119 days of rain, and it was my job to haul groceries overnight from the southbay to north of San Francisco up to the wine country. One night when the tide came in, the rain had nowhere to go since many of the roads are near sea level it was a mess, many of the highways were flooded and closed. Having driven for years all over the bay area, I had an intricate knowledge of the city streets, and what roads to take...there were a lot of stranded truckers from out of the area, so I got on the CB raidio and we had a hell of a convoy going up through many of the east bay towns...it was funny watching the people out on the streets wondering what in the hell was going on wth the solid stream of trucks...at on big intersetion a cop saw what was going on and stopped opposing traffic so we could proceed. As I peeled of to take the Richmond San Rafael bridge to Santa Rosa, most all the other truckers continued on to catch I-80 to head eastbound, glad to leave that mess behind. On guy told me "Thanks Trailboss for getting us through hostile territory" (West Oakland), my fellow company driver chided me about it, but after that night my CB handle went from the cat-swinger (Used to drive a truck with a big cat engine, hauled swinging beef) to Traiboss.
And for the double entendre part....
Quite oten, I post a thought and trail off with three periods, I do it more than anyone I see online...

An old gamer and hacker handle, my name says "prodigy" in 1337speak. Litespeak, short for elite. Been on a computer since the age of 6. Started with DOS command line interfaces and by my teenage years got away from Windows into Unix/Linux environments with a thirst for computer programming, reverse engineering, hacking code to do what I want and not what's intended, and having fun. Still work in open source software and projects, telecommunications, scripting/programming, etc. and working on starting a company with a long term best friend since middle school. The name initially stemmed from playing Halo 2 at near professional level, my friend I just mentioned and I played Halo 2 on Xbox 8-15 hours a day most days and we were really, really good. I'm turning 28 years old in a month and I started using the handle at about 17 years old.

trailboss , you'll see the ellipsis (...) a little more often now: I favour it myself. I take it as a sign of respect from the writer to the reader; "let's pause and think our thoughts now..."

To address the topic: grimpeur is a French word used to denote a cyclist who excels at climbing. For me, it's very much tongue-in-cheek; with every passing year, I get heavier, the hills seem to get both steeper and longer, but I keep at it because riding is something I still enjoy for its own sake.
I do like to reflect on all the money I have saved in not owning a car for the last almost twenty years.

Thanks, I sucked at composition, but when I take my time I can usually hammer out a few understandable sentences..... I had learned about the use of ellipsis a long time ago, and you wriggled that nugget loose from my hard drive. As to my earlier posts...forgive the couple mis-spellings, right as I hit "enter" and went to proofread and edit, the phone rang....times up! Happens a lot in my household.

Hi, I first called myself OldTom, because my surname is Thomas, & when I went on Smokers Forum, somebody else was already called OldTom, so I called myself MrTom, on that forum & changed to T on here. I started on forums several years ago on newspaper forums here in the UK of the broadsheets rather than tabloids as we call it, I was StanTom in those days, not very imaginative , but on some places I called myself TomPop, after my best pal , my dog Pop, also HamLuc, after my previous dog Luc & Ham for amateur radio, my first hobby. Bye for now. I know the difference between a broadsheet and a tabloid! Unfortunately many broadsheets in the U.S. have started behaving as if they are grocery store tabloids.

Mine is easy. The grandkids call me Pappy. My first name is Joe. They decided on Pappy because we've had PawPaw, Papa and a few other iterations that were used and everyone thought Grandfather or Granddad just didn't fit. There were also a couple of young guys who worked for me before I retired from the service who said I reminded them of the Pappy Boyington character from the Black Sheep Squadron. Don't know why...
Anyway, when I join a forum or have to create a username, my first choice is pappyjoe or pappy_joe. I am also known as pappy_mac in a couple of places because the wouldn't let me use pappyjoe for some reason. The Mac is because I started using Mac's back in 1986 and still use them for work.

My username is borrowed from the original M*A*S*H movie when Trapper and Hawkeye were sent to operate on a kid in Japan. They took the opportunity to play some golf and when entering the hospital in Japan they introduced themselves as the Pros from Dover! Profrmdover has been my username for many years.

Mine comes from time I spent in the Army while stationed in West Germany. My battle buddy looked just like Tom Cruise. I mean they could have been twins. Top Gun was still a new movie so as we were always hanging out together I became Goose. They even painted it on my jeep!!

Mine? Password generator. I noticed you over at PSF as a different randomly generated sequence. GAWKq something I believe. I would add that generator is generating VERY weak passwords. Lol. I could crack that password in a second. When I lived in Las Vegas working in IT, true story. I cracked a few passwords within 6-8 characters like your username in times no longer than 1.5 seconds. Only had to run through a few million times. This brings me to a public service announcement of sorts. Passwords are no longer safe unless they look a lot like this: GUnFyjwjBih719!&?39.&!:8!/&haubbibiBhHgfjGgUhVjhb))8?
