Since you mentioned that I was reminded of the time I crossed a parking lot on foot and a 20 something young man became upset as my foot traffic cut off his driving. He started yelling at me out the open window of his car. I went over to him and got him by the nose with two bent fingers, the way Moe Howard sometimes grabbed Curly. Then I patted his head with my other hand and told him that was no way to speak to me. I let him go and went inside. He followed me into the store and apologized for his behavior.

 Went to Acadamy a while back , waited for a truck to back out, started to go in the space and a young man zipped up and tried to squeeze in, but I didn’t let him, he was yelling, jumped out his truck and started to come up to my side, I jacked a round in my Star PD , held it against the window, he made a 180 and ran to his truck, I waited to see if he was gonna come back, he left. That young man was very lucky a man my age doesn’t fight or bluff. When I got back home I told my wife, no more going to town, you’ll run my errands from now on.

Yeah you just trust anybody that does not the senior discount at Dennys these days. I miss Denny's. Especially now that I am discount eligible. We had one in Taos years ago. They lasted about six months and then closed. |

We have them here sometimes it is good and other times. We have a Waffle House and you can always get bad there. I am still waiting for the wife to forgive me from taking her there over a year ago. YouTube has great videos on Waffle House violence.

One thing about WH, is that no matter where you go, no matter what state...it is always the same food (like it or not) their breakfast food isn't bad at all...really can't kill eggs, bacon and grits...the coffee is the same no matter where you visit it.

My recollection was decent food at a fair price in clean surroundings. I had no complaints and would stop in there again. |

Your right Walt and they stay open no matter what. If the WH closes it is time to leave. FEMA even uses a WH scale to judge conditions of storms and they are much more accurate than the so called experts. The Waffle House Index is a real thing and they do predict global ………..

So I had narrowed down my choices of indoor pistol ranges to get a membership at to two yesterday. Watching the news this mornng and I see that one of them burned down last night. Is that a message from above? Too weird. I guess my choice is made for me.

We have one that is 5 miles away that is very comfortable. They have built a new one that I haven't tried yet. A lot of the new ranges allow rifles (ARs), which is a deal killer if I am shooting pistols. I may take the 450 in there just for grins.

It kind of did. It sort of still does... If it makes you feel any better, I had to sell 2 Colt Gold Cup National Match, 2 series 70 Govt models, a PPK and a PPKS, a S&W Models 41 and 52, and a few more because I needed the money. |
