This is what I want to have done to my Model 60. Why? Because I can.

Classy, Don. Ivory grips would look nice too.

My R51 is about the same size and weight as the PPK, shoots the same number of rounds but in 9mm +p. Much less recoil, easy to rack, and it's extremely accurate. I am very well pleased with it. You have mentioned that before as I recall. I have long been interested in the Pedersen pistol and admired the original. The R51 is about a half inch longer and 1/2 inch taller than the PPK/S, not that this matters much. What is impressive is the cartridge- 9 X 19.

They got a bad reputation when they were released and developed problems, but I have the second generation and after a couple of hundred rounds it is totally dependable with +p or 147gr ammo. You really can't tell much difference in the recoil between standard 115gr and 124gr +p. Fantastic sights and more accurate in my hand than the S&W 52 Master. Of course a revolver doesn't need to be broken in, but most all autos do. It's much flatter than any revolver. Grip safety only.

I have read a few articles by credible authors reporting the much improved second generation. If I were looking for a small autoloader that would be on the list. I almost bought a Browning FN Model 1910, another gem I admire. However, it is always a revolver I go back to.

If I know that I need to destroy something, I have my Star Model 30M. The auto pistol for revolver lovers. 41oz empty, 5 17 round mags, and absolute dependability with any 9mm ammo. But for anti-punk purposes, I can carry the R51 totally concealed in a t-shirt and lounge pants. If I can figure out a way to conceal the 44 mag snubbie, I would carry it more often.

That Star must be some firepower holding five 17 round magazines!! Ok. I'll stop. I was watching a video of one liners with Groucho Marx. He always affects my judgement.

Been there. Ended up giving the wife my Colt Detective. Her previous gun was a Webley Mark VI .38-200.

My state sucks more every year in regards to firearms freedoms.

How can Texas be #10? Anyplace freerer than Texas scares me. Arizona must have a mandatory kitten-skeet tournament, wait no, they must refund 20 percent of your guns and ammo purchases in tax rebates. That's it!

The only reason that Arizona is where it is at, is because of the AZCDL, our state lobbying organization that knows how to apply the pressure... our governor is hot to trot in regards to passing red flag laws, which is more aptly named “disarm the veterans”... he has been kicked in the crotch a few times on this one. A great organization .

Wow, beautiful revolvers. I don't have the finger strength to squeeze the trigger.

Wow, beautiful revolvers. I don't have the finger strength to squeeze the trigger. All the single action revolvers I have shot have very light triggers. Can you rooster the hammer?

This seems odd. There was a law signed in July preventing private transfers. This is an open carry state. There is a "shall issue conceal carry law". The process is more cumbersome that it needs to be. Still, number 36 deems drastic.

I can't believe that it changed the act of placing the hammer in the ready to fire position as "rooster the hammer"!?

Most definitely. Since I am under constant government surveillance, as are most all rural residents of the United States, every firearm and liquor law is followed to the letter.

Got just enough to barely walk, so all guns are a big no-no.
