Picked up a nice little SMS meerschaum and my local B&M. Smoking some Stonehaven in it as it’s inaugural smoke!

I have gotten into a pretty cool rut.
Its my morning churchwarden. First smoke of the day, in a large bowled churchwarden of Billy Budd Blonde, or Dunbar, or something delicious. Usually I time it with my second cup of coffee. (I typically drink my first one too fast.) I usually listen to the news or news highlights, unless work is going to be very stressful, in which case I listen to Vivaldi or Mozart. I am usually in the Batman T shirt I slept in, covered by my smoking bathrobe.
But whatever. The real comfort is in the repeated ritual. My alarm goes off and I tell myself there is that pipe ritual to look forward to before I take on the day.

I’m back after a brief technological hiatus. Been doing the Dad game, pretty well I might add, as well as enjoying a smoke when the weather is tolerable. Early this morning I enjoyed some Two Timer in a MM Legend with the usual percolated coffee.
Keep’em lit patchers!

Yesterday was very hectic so I am starting my August today with an old fashioned smoke. Wilke #191 in a beautiful Barling saddle stem billiard that hasn't had much attention in the last couple of years. Coffee on the side.

Where is Jim? The day is over half gone and he hasn't posted in this thread yet. I am starting to sweat and get the shakes. You just noticed? Jim hasn’t been here in a month. He had his reasons for leaving, but it’s not place to comment on them. This is a disturbing development.

Got my little guy down for his afternoon nap, so now it's time for some Watch City 558 in a Stanwell Royal Rouge Stack

Jim just left because he was on 13 forums world wide and very busy with work and had to cut back. He has no issues with anyone here. He had no hand in any of the recent unpleasantness regardless of the rumors to the contrary.

I'm not sure what made it so good, but I just had the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. Maybe it was the bowl of 558 that went with it? Trying that again in just a few minutes.

Could it be that you aren't on a roof and you are rehydrating after the last few days? But sometimes, serendipity happens. Just smile and roll with it.

I know him well enough from my interactions with him over the past few years to know he is an honorable and decent man. I just wish he would have dropped participation in some other sites, before this one.

It was definitely an "in the moment" pipe and coffee. Although enjoyable, the 2nd was nothing like the first. I didnt really expect it to be.

^^ It's not for everyone, that's for sure.
Blackberry Brandy with a pinch of Dark Plug, might as well make another cup of coffee.

Earlier Erinmore Flake, dry and rubbed out in a GBD International Canadian. It got hot so I’ve set it aside for awhile. Now smoking MacBaren HH Burley Flake in a Castello Old Antiquari 55 KK. Vodka & club soda w/lime on the side. A nice warm afternoon.

Blackberry brandy with some Dark Plug sifted in all that in a stained legend cob....the mix, as per Josh, was wonderful...will have to do that a whole lot more.

I'm not sure what made it so good, but I just had the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. I have found that the one most powerful thing that accentuates the flavor and enjoyment of coffee is: ....drum roll... Needing a cup of coffee real bad.
