Just found a jar of Lane's 1-Q from 2013...been that long since I even noticed this jar... Josh will understand, he's seen the mess in my 2 bookcases...gonna smoke it in a Comoy Golden Grain Canadian, the first pipe I bought back in the early 60's.

Ryan Alden Bings Favorite with MC 2015 and a gin and tonic. Really starting to realize, I only like perique in the colder months. Onions on the stove for a patty melt dinner in a bit.

I'm back on a Prince Albert kick. This happens every once in a while. I smoke 2 - 3 bowls a day, and lately at least one of those has been Prince Albert. I smoke it heavily for a couple of months, get bored, and go on to something else. Then I have an urge to break it out again and the cycle starts over.
PA is a superior smoke. Its is a relic of a time when there were still a few pretty good counter blends out there to choose from.
Sometimes you can run into Captain Black Gold in the stores. That stuff is also pretty good.

Just finished a bowl of Wilke #515 in a Butz Choquin Chatelaine sitter with iced tea on the side while watching the Astros finish a sweep of the Mariners. Too hot to breathe outside.

Just finished my first bowl of semois in a Peterson.
Very interetesting tobacco. Going to make a great blender. Infact, this pouch of Amphora special reserve cavendish is about to get the balls Mac Baren failed to put in the pouch.

Watch City Simply Red in the new to me Comoy's. Love this tobacco and love this pipe. Have you ever had any of their other blends? I have Simply Red, Old Dominion, Watch City Slices, and 558. All are very good blends. If you like Burley, Slices are great. The Simply Red, I could smoke all day. It's just easy going Red VA, nothing fancy, but a solid blend. I've only had one bowl each of the Old Dominion and 558, but both were good smokes out of the bag. I can see them aging very well, too.

Have you ever had any of their other blends? I've had Simply Red, Old Dominion, Rhythm & Blues and 558. All 4 are excellent.
