My son who was into tools, at 5 got his moms cuticle pliers and while I was reading the newspaper crept around my chair and cut the lamp wire, here’s the scene Small explosion, arc, no light and little boy off like a rocket, fastest I’ve ever seen him run, cuticle pliers had a jagged gouge in em, Son was not hurt, he dropped the plan of being an Electrican. I have a pair of Craftsman sidecutters that have a notch in them that is perfect for stripping Romex. I was in the attic wiring for a ceiling fan at the in-laws house when idiot FIL switched the breaker back on. He was always doing stupid shite like that. A piece of metal was burned into my GLASS eyeglasses right in the center of my cornea. Thank God your weak eyes required glasses. He deserved jumper cables connected to a 12 volt battery, attached to a couple hanging appendages after that. He’s lucky that you are a nice guy.

You can't fix stupid. What is the point in torturing an idiot? He did much worse and caused much trouble. We both told him off and he moved to Connecticut.

When we told him off it felt like kicking an old dog. Not satisfying at all. Made us feel dirty. We could blame it on his being 91,but he was always like this. We didn't realize how much MIL kept him in line until she died and unrestricted stupidity was unleashed on the world. Shot his heel off in Burma so he could come home to the Louisanna swamps. He should have stayed in the swamp.

Back in 1970 I watched a guy check to see if there was water in his car's battery. He used a wood match for light. Yes, there must have been some water in there. It did not matter much when part of the top of the battery blew off in the explosion. That might have been the dumbest thing I ever saw.

My Fathers brother was simple, worked delivering parts for a parts house, told me once you can rejuvenate an old battery by putting baking soda in the cells, it fizzes and makes it like a new one. I told him Uncle you’re killing the battery, neutralizing the acid, he didn’t understand how a battery works, he once invited me to hunt Doves on my own land. The Dr hunting with him told me that’s nice to hunt here, lots of doves, I told him I’ve been hunting here since I was 5 yrs old, and by the way I own this land. Stupid look.

Yep, that is a guy jumping his jet ski. About 8 of us were taking videos waiting for the electrocution. He did get the ski running and it about ran off and he yanked the jumper cables off real quick. I was positive I was going to witness a Darwin Award winner.

Amazing that people are so dumb as to plan an outing on the lake...getting time off, fuel, food, accommodations, etc...
And are too stupid to not give the boat or water ski a pre-trip inspection.

I don't know how many times I've heard or read about some obviously slacked jawed moron leaving her child or children lock in a Hot car in these 90-100+ degree weather a lot of us are having. I bet at least once or twice or more a day anywhere in America you can find someone that has done this. Are people really that fricken stupid or are they making this stuff up for entertainment value? It just baffles me how anyone can do these things, it's like the older electric fans with the open cage, just plug'em in and watch someone uncontrollably stick there finger in it. And BTW, I never had that problem, nor did I eat paint. Who the hell eats paint!?
Back on subject, I mean there's even a law I believe if your caught leaving a child or even a pet in a hot car they can site you or even arrest you. Does that stop it? No! These morons do it on a regular basis. These parents which are probably the same ones that expect everyone else to raise the children for them should be lined up and smacked with a 2x4 in the back of the head until they get some sense. And that's another thing, "Where in the hell has common sense gone?" Young people of today seem not to have any what so ever and are obviously growing up to think there's no problem leaving your child or pet locked in a hot car. And then we wonder why Juries and Voter's seem to be Real Fricken Stupid these past years. It's just gotta be in the food or water but, I still have common sense? Maybe the government starting back in the 90's was implanting a stupid gene into newborns? Or maybe it's part of the extinction process, the stupider they get the quicker they'll die off? I give up, it just baffles me to no end.
Agreed. A moron is as a moron does.

I figured this is what it looked like when Ken handed in the bill for the open freezer door and oven thermostat. I often just get bored and search stupid stuff so that's how I found this meme.

Had a pretty stupid call today. I had an oven that wouldn't heat and a walk in cooler door that wouldn't close. Now mind you the kitchen manager has worked with this equipment for 29 years and she reminds me of this every time I have to do a job in her kitchen. The cooler was the first thing I looked at. She showed me the door wouldn't close by repeatedly shoving it. I stopped her and asked her to look at it and tell me what was wrong. It won't close she told me. I opened the door and pulled down on the spring loaded closer and closed the door. I showed her this a few times before. I checked the oven and removed the front cover and turned it on. The burners wouldn't fire so I checked a couple other things and happened to see the thermostat wasn't set. I set the stat and the burners fired. I turned it back off and called her over and asked her to start the oven up. She turned the switch on and said it still wasn't working and walked away. I called her back over and asked if the oven would work if the temperature was set. She agreed and I set the stat and it started heating. Her boss was less than thrilled to be billed for stupidity. My late father was for a number of years a Maytag repairman, really he was, and not the loneliest man in town. He had many stories of repair calls as you describe. My favorites were the “I just plugged it in and charged for the service call.” Lesson learned; I always check for power before digging deeper. Ya know that reminds me off a Repairman I worked with. We showed up to an apartment building that a elec. dryer that wasn't working. We went to check the breaker box but, it was locked in a room we didn't have a key for. I asked the repairman if he had a Wiggy and he looked at me like I had a 3rd eye, I had to explain to him it was for checking high voltage. The story doesn't stop there either. He then said , "well it's probably the board that's bad" and I shook my head. He replaced the $100 +board and guess what, it still didn't work so he called into the shop to have it replaced. Not only was he a moron but, cost the company a bundle of money all because he was too ignorant to carry a meter to check voltages. Oh, and I let me know it after, then on we where not on the best of terms cause I let management know too.

Tell me, how in gods green earth do you leave your child in a lock car for 3-4 hours. Hell, after 5 minutes of not hearing or seeing my kid I'd be wondering where there at and start looking.
And I have probably one of the worst memories but, to forget to take my child out of the car when we get home or to a store.........not gona happen my friend!
