Last smoke of the day is Savinelli 140˚ in an unbranded undated (1980s?) straight smooth flat bottom apple with a black vulcanite stem. Reading and relaxing as long as Suzy and Molly let me.

A lot of character in that pipe. I like it a lot. Your post reminds me to pick up some Old Gowrie. I have been meaning to try that for some time. And methinks you won't be disappointed

Now smoking Dunbar in a smooth straight Lane era Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Have enough left for one more bowl. A bottle of Cheerwine is my drink. Finally got a little snooze. Suzy and Molly weren't impressed by my sleeping technique, but then again, they are pros at the art of snoozin', the snooty little varmits!

In honor of my late friend Daniel Nathan, I am smoking 1960s Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. I turned Dan on to this last April, and gave him a sample of the '60s vintage and the current one as well. I was pleased that he liked them. Dan was a very kind, generous, very intelligent man who fought several severe health issues the last few years with courage and dignity. I used to tease him about having the same name as one of the two men who wrote mysteries under the pen name "Ellery Queen". RIP, Dan.

Hi, more of the same folks, I cannot get enough of a good thing. A cigarette & a mini cigar , very enjoyable agreeable smokes , & some Great Dixter in my Bruno Freehand Plateau & some of my bread & butter mux & then my Choc buffalo milk shake in my Xmas 2016 Rhodesian, the day has flown by, but did some little experiments bodging with stuff , but they never worked out , as Thomas Edison said, it is not wasted time, at least I have learnt what does not work. So back to the drawing board, I had a bottle of new beer for me Coors, ok, it was on offer, bye for now.

Now smoking Amphora Original (Brown) in a smooth medium bend 2011 Rinaldo Collection Fiammata Silver Line 7 Odea 4 flame grain bulldog with a silver band and a tortoise shell acrylic stem. Relaxing with Sleepy Suzy by my side. Molly is snoozin' in the studio. They had a serious, long lasting rasslin' match this evening, until Suzy got tired of it. Molly nearly always starts those ruckuses as she's the one with all the energy.

Black Southeaster on the West Coast of the Dark Continent kept me up most of the night. Following Jim's good advice, I did not waste time, but rather had a couple of bowls. Condor Long Cut and SG 1792 Flake my choices for the stormy night.
After a couple of hours of sleep: Old Gowrie in GBD rhodesian for breakfast. Coffee x 2. Cats x 2 around my legs.
