A grown tree that is never tested by the winds that blow its way, can be uprooted and wrecked when the inevitable happens, the briar is constantly subjected to the forces that come its way can be a gem in the hands of the master, some of us end up with pits on the surface, the others are just not visible.

Thanks guys. It's just life and no matter what I do, I'm dealt the crappiest hand possible. I make the best of it, but I still lose. Once in a while, when I get a good hand and think "it's about time," someone cheats and I still lose. This is apparently the normal way my life goes. Does it have to? Nope. Do I allow it? Yes I do. Why do I? No clue, and that's why I changed drs and am going to therapy more often. I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. You've got this, brother. And you're not on your own in this either. Despite being 'virtual' friends, we're very much real and willing you on throughout this.

I'll add my .02cents also...Josh has been through alot...he has maintained his core through out this ordeal..much of the pressure is scrubbing him, but his core is true to himself and his children and he will never...ever let them down...that is just the way he is.

8 years ago (age 42) I was in bad shape: obese (nearly 300 pounds/5’9’’), metabolic syndrome (high BP/high cholesterol/pre-diabetic) and plagued with anxiety/post-stress syndrome. I chose to adopt a healthy plant based vegan diet and it changed everything. I lost 100 pounds in one year and another 50 over the next year. All of the indicators that were high and going up went down and have stayed low. I’m not an activist, but I highly recommend choosing this way of eating for the prevention and reversal of disease. It does take 2-3 weeks to adapt under nominal conditions, but definitely talk to a doctor about how a healthy vegan diet might help with your condition.
Taking a daily Vitamin D3 supplement (2000 IU) had such enormous and immediate impact on my post-stress and moodiness I’d have to consider it a lightning cure. As a vegan I also take a daily 1000mg B12* (cobalamin) supplement, but even omnivores can be deficient so I’d recommend taking that as well. At literally pennies a day these two are among the cheapest supplements you can buy.
*It is important to look for “cyanocobalamin” B12, which absorbs far better than “methylcobalamin”. Tablets that dissolve under the tongue (sublingual) are what I look for. You could also take a 2000mg B12 weekly. I think the daily recommendation is 250mg.

I'll look into vitamins, and I'm sure I'm overdue for some fresh bloodwork. You're talking to the wrong guy about becoming vegan though I love meat. I do appreciate the insight and information though. I've heard from a few others that a change in diet could greatly benefit... but I'm not to that point right now. My stuff is more or less "situational,"and this situation isnt an easy one. Thank you Walt, I'm glad you see me for who I am, recognize the hell I've been through, and see what it's turned me into. With every challenge in life I grow stronger. So, in the end, I'm going to be a better person for myself and my kids.

Today is 2 1/2 years sober. These 2 1/2 years have been the hardest years of my life, a lot has went on. But here I am, still trucking along.
I'll have a good cigar and at least one pipeful of one of my "rare" tobaccos this afternoon.

I'll probably be back more. I've made up my mind on what I'm doing.
I cant deal with this anymore.
Edit: it's not that I "can't," it's that I wont.

Clarity is, I've came too far to be feeling this miserable. I blame no one but myself for that because I held on when I should have let go.
'Tis life.
