A few small "tasting" bowls tonight, probably equaling one medium sized bowl. 4Noggins Butternut Burley in a MM Legend, Plum Pudding in a Savinelli Churchwarden, Edward G. Robinson's Blend in a Morgan Bones Short Dublin, Pirate Cake in a Morgan Bones Small Pot, and Epiphany in a Savinelli 673KS. Virgils Root Beer on the side. Interesting tasting session, all blends I have had before and I like.
Beautiful, clear sunny day today, never got out of the 20s, tho.

I will be spending company with an absolutely LOVELY lady of my choosing for New Years.... Yes, a new woman has entered my life. We've decided marriage isnt for us. But we sure love each other a lot. We're really taking care of each other.... This one is different; I know you probably hear this a lot, but its true. I'll just say that her name is Maria and I am very happy.

Ted’s Pipe Shoppe 1-11 in a Savinelli 673 Fantasia Ted's makes some nice blends. My favorite is #300 Founder's Blend. I bought my first pipe there while on recruiting duty with the Navy. Beth Kanaley was such a nice woman and taught me how to smoke a pipe. I order from them still.

LJP Pride of Loch Lomond in the Matched Grain Kaywoodie push stem prince 42; a shape I call “The Ultimate Answer” (Don’t Panic!) Orientals are forward, which I like, but Latakia is there for sho’! (The Virginias and perique must be just for show! Pun alert.) Overall, I’d have to agree with one of the online reviewers that POLL is less a Scottish Blend than it is a gateway from English to Oriental (fine by me!) and might easily have been called Pride of Istanbul. The wife says “very mild” room note. Will I be buying more? Absolutely! Sold by the pound it’s cellar worthy in my opinion, but there are certainly more authentic Scottish Blends out there. Good Morning!

Glad you have finally found some wonderful company that you enjoy and doesn't take advantage of you....someone you can give love to and get love from...almost as good as a dog, but we humans are a fickle bunch, unlike dogs our " selves" get too involved in a relationship. Enjoy Maria's company and make sure you give back all you receive. Butternut burley in my Rhodesian....a morning delight!

I’ve decided on the unsmoked NOS Kaywoodie Heritage Antique Shape 55 as the first to break in. I’m starting it off with 1/4 bowl of LJP Tashkent and am already in Nearvana! This blend burns beautifully well. Cleaners pass through the large 60 year old rusticated briar with just a slight bit of fiddling. It will be a great pleasure to get to full capacity with this great piece of pipe history. And to think I have 19 more to break in! Footnote: I do have some duplicates in the collection I might could be persuaded to sell/trade. 😁 Does it have a stinger? I guess all Kaywoodies do - I only own one

TF has been saying he wants to leave and leaving here and there for ages. He may be wanting to quit pipe smoking, who knows... People have their reasons. Sometimes people just spend too much time on the internet instead of real life. I know Im in that category but I am disabled so theres not much I can do. I can explore my mind's inctricate dimensions though... Sometimes with a little bit of help The human mind is a wonderful thing, one of the last frontiers of exploration.
