I have some Peter Pan purchased during the early days of pandemic and that stuff is nasty. I have Fritos just ground corn and salt and deep fried nothing tastes like a Frito though many try. Dipping into jalapeno pimento cheese with no RAISENS. Slushy diet Coke.

Neighbor brought over a Well Done NY Strip with turnips, beets and carrots from his garden. Beans and squash.
I never cook nor order steak "Well Done". However, smothering it in Rufus Teague's "touch of heat" sauce, it was pretty good.

Black chili. I love chili and used to make it by the gallon. But in the last year or so I’ve developed a way to make GOOD chili quickly when I get the undeniable urge: use a skillet. I use a stainless/copper bottom 12” one. A little virgin olive oil in the bottom. Add the meat. Last night it was small chunks of deer tenderloin, but more usually ground venison or elk. Slow simmer while adding cumin and ancho chili powder. A good bit of each. When the meat is done add two cans of black beans (I get mine at Walmart). Then some sliced black olives and— wait for it!— cashew halves and pieces. Let simmer. A little salt, some Angostura bitters, a dash of balsamic vinegar, and some sugar— just a tad. Let simmer a while. Eat! This is very good, but it gets better if you can manage to let some of it age a few days in the fridge.
Quick, simple, and dee-lishus.

What is "Seven Day Coleslaw"? Seven day coleslaw is an oil base coleslaw that lasts seven days because so much is made. Its my fathers recipe. I will pm it to you if you wish.

Schlotzsky's original just finished the second half. Roast in the crock pot one can chipotle, one can ancho and one pint of raspberries all mixed up in sauce pan after a trip to the food processor with some sugar added. If you make it with jelly you don't need sugar. Two 7oz cans in adobo and the fruit and you golden.
