Two small breakfast burritos from El Monterrey. They are are satisfying and easy to deal with in the morning. And great when covered in Hatch chilis 🤤!

last night, Turkey, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, baked sweet potatoes, cranberry Jello salad, and hot rolls, and later ,pumpkin cheesecake bars with coffee...this was a "pre-Thanksgiving" meal with friends. They came in with soggy egg salad , and the worst green bean casserole ever made...I'll be digging a hole behind the garage to bury it in this afternoon!

Bean and squash soup with added spinach from last night. There is cooked bacon and two kinds of sausage in there for flavor.

Taco Bell. Beef tacos with Diablo sauce. I admit to infrequent dining at TB and enjoying it. Their store in Taos is staffed by young people who try hard to make something out of what they have to work with and I appreciate it. Even though there are taco stands and Mexican restaurants all over tow, TB always has a line of cars.

That is a meal I really enjoy and will have to miss it this year. Too risky to be with other people.

Promised the wife I'd make her Salmon Wellington for her birthday last week - but we didn't have all the ingredients. So I made it for her tonight. So it's Salmon Wellington, cauliflower "tots", and Sutter Home White Zin. Fresh out of the oven:

Should make it again. P.S. Yours looks mighty good!

Chili day in the crockpot. About time. Dumping everything in there with lots of ground venison, cumin, ancho powder, Thai cili sauce. Balsamic. Angostura. Etc. The works. This’ll be a good gallon or so of eats.

No indoor seating in Taos restaurants. Most restaurant take out is very slow. It is best to call ahead to place an order. My favorite taco stand was closed. The drive through places: McD's Wendy's, Taco Bell, KFC seem to be doing the best. So, KFC for lunch and it was good!
