Lentil, vegetable, potato soup with a slice of Mortadella on sourdough whole wheat bread. Real Eye-Talian made Mortadella. What a difference!

In June I was told about Mennonite bake shoppe not to far from where we live. I have been back many times pies bread raseberry breakfast roles and the best lemon bars ever. Last time I got a big jar of zesty bread and butter pickles they lasted maybe a week.

Small tin of corned beef hash with an egg. I need to make some from scratch. I have tins of Corned Beef from Australia that are really good. Not that there's anything wrong from the Brazilian and Uruguayan CB we get here. Fine diced Russet Potatoes, fine diced carrots, fine diced onions, a little thyme, ground pepper.

I like the corned beef hash we have here from the can. It's really all I've ever had, and you know that you can't go changing comfort food. I had some from Katzs a few years ago and it was almost inedible. Very different.

I don't know from Katz, but I have had some great CB Hashes home made over the years. Nothing wrong with the canned product except a little salty for me. Once in a while it is OK.

I fried it in the pan that had some bacon grease in it and it came out really crispy. I don't eat it more than once a month anyway.

Gonna make cheeseburgers in the iron skillet shortly with some chips and Dt Pepper. Is it just me or have you noticed how well Dr. Pepper pairs well with everything: cigars, pipes, food? It’s always been my go-to when smoking for many years when I’m craving something sweet with my smoke.

soon to be Schwan #717 breakfast bowl, added shred cheese & sausage link. A "quickie" but does the job. (Now to see if it will actually post seeing that had to change username. Ieasiy freak out with techno changes as most know)

The last of the whole wheat sourdough bread for breakfast. A reheated grilled pork chop with Stubb's Sauce.
No complaints here.
Brad, the Missus bread looks great. Enjoy with some nice butter or gator fat or whatever you use in Cajun Land. LOL! In these parts, lard smeared on a tortilla or bread slice was considered a meal.

However my ketchup is home made in a pot on my stove. Tomatoes, onions and summer herbs from the garden. A little pinch of salt and pepper. Absolutely nothing else.
