I always enjoy Denny's breakfasts, lunch or supper. They got it right. I long to visit one again. The Denny’s near my home has incredible servers, and the food is always cooked right. The over 55 menu is scaled back from the regular one, but the savings are pretty significant. Years ago, a Denny's opened in a new building in Toad. It lasted six months before closing. This was the weirdest restaurant ever. The wife and I made three visits and never were get anything to eat. The manager hired teenage girls to be the waitstaff and they would never take an order. They congregated in the back, talking and left the customers sitting with their menus, waiting and waiting. No manager was ever around. Customers would look at each other wondering WTF is happening? A cook would come out of the kitchen to see what was not happening, shake his head and return to his place. It was Denny's Twilight Zone. They closed and a Chinese Restaurant group bought the place and has done quite well with it.

Chili Con Carne can be made with or without beans you country Bumpkin. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chili_con_carne“ Beans, a staple of Tex-Mex cuisine, have been associated with chili as far back as the early 20th century.[14] The question of whether beans belong in chili has long been a matter of contention among chili cooks. While it is generally accepted that the earliest chilis did not include beans, proponents of their inclusion contend that chili with beans has a long enough history to be considered authentic”

By the way, that's a pretty good song. My youngest neice and her first husband called that their song.

In New Mexico, beans are served alongside Chile which is either red or green.
I do not know who started putting beans IN chile. I make it that way sometimes along with white corn, dried in an horno (chicos).

I made Garlic Chicken in a Parmesan Cream sauce with spinach and mushrooms.
Something my wife saw on Facebook. It was just a video with just the ingredients listed in subtitles as they were added - but no mention of amounts of each ingredient, time, temperatures ..... So we winged it.
Turned out fine though, but I wish the sauce was thicker.
The wife loved it so much she was talking about licking the skillet.
