Since Jason has been crucial to my progression from ameteur to hobbyist pipe maker I thought I'd copy him a little with this thread. Here's pipe 10, an author because someone on another forum said he wanted one if I could make it.

I can see one of those on my own rack one day.

Very nice!
It looks like you have a natural talent for it, you also have a hell of a mentor

As with your previous entries, I'm impressed by how fast you're getting very solid pieces out. Nice work.

Just a quick update, no pictures. Shop has been more or less down for about a month (more like 6 weeks I think). I have acquired the necessary tools. I got shop vac because my wife gave away our regular vacuum. We have all pergo floors (imitation hardwood) and no carpets. Add to that the vac wasn't drawing as well as it should and she figured we didn't need it anymore. The problem lies in the fact my "shop" is in our front room. I have to have dust control of some kind or when I use the disc sander I get fine dust everywhere!
I love my wife but some times...
I now have the shop vac and I am going to try and get a new pipe out every two weeks as materials allow. Wish me luck!

You have come a long way in a short period of time. Well done my friend. That is a pipe that I would lasso into my herd without question.

Very, very, nice pipe. If I saw this pipe in a store, I'd buy it in a NY second. Like the thick shank, especially, and the beefy bowl. Nice 1/4 bent, proportions.
Excellent!

Thanks guys, too bad my photography skills suck. It's a cell phone pic, but I tried a better camera and they turned out worse so I don't bother any more.

You took things slowly, and dialed everything in. As for pics, all you need is a piece of white poster board and a decent lamp.

Thanks Jason. I'm finding the more I slow down the better my work is. I do like how I ran this one to the sanding phase then evaluated it for shape and fit. As you know I ended up putting it back on the shaping wheel to clean a lot up before I finished it out.

Wow.. October!! It has been WAY too long since I finished a pipe! Holidays and a run of bad luck but I really am still in the game. Look for a new one soon. (Assuming I dont blow out another stem )

Doubling down on everyone’s comments Terry! Absolutely gorgeous my brother! Wish I could be as talented as you. Can’t wait to see what you do next. Perhaps I may be fortunate enough to purchase a Terry original? Hmmmm......

Perhaps I may be fortunate enough to purchase a Terry original? Hmmmm...... I would for sure appreciate it if you did! But alas, I must admit I'm pretty slow to make them. I would never be able to make this anything more than a hobby. Which of course is fine, I do it because I enjoy making them (and other wood items). I will definitely post pics when I have the nose warmer pot finished.
