This morning, Bijou in a Jursa Bulldog...now, Sterling blend, from McCraines, a spicy Virginia blend, in a 1930s era Kaywoodie, marked HANDMADE, with carving much like the old Custombuilts, it has the four hole stinger still in place...cold water on the side.

greets again, brunch after foot doc visit, changed to "house rags", took wife's city car to shop for exchange registration stickers. Then rolled up the tarp off front lawn, weighted it down with bricks. Wifie wants to try another lawn sale this Fri/maybe Sat.
Meanwhile, CokeClassic at desk, '06 daVinci in LaughingBacchus meet in smoking room. Next a snoozie then to sups

Maiden voyage of Carter Hall. In a Missouri meerschaum fifth Avenue. So far so good, have to watch how fast I smoke it. Seems to burn a little hot for me. Finished up the last of the Sir Walter Raleigh this morning. Which I had never had before. It wasn’t bad, but wound up blending it with a lot of other things, which worked well, rather than smoking it straight.

Up this afternoon/evening are three pipes. C&D Carolina Red Flake in a Radice Rind Billard w/faux bamboo shank. Then C&D Pegasus in a Larrysson Sandblast Black Bent Dublin. Finally, ten year old Balkan Sasieni in the 2018 Peterson Christmas Pipe 01. That should keep me occupied for awhile!

John Cotton double pressed Virginia in an Iwan Ries branded Author. Almost done with this tin. I’m going to let the other sit a few years. It’s alright, but at this time, I like it with a filter better than without.

Tried another variation on a homemade "Hobbit's Weed" - in an old bent rusticated Jobey. Not as good as a variation I tried earlier today.

Tried another variation of homemade Hobbit's Weed using black raspberry instead of cherry - in my Jobey 680. This one might be worth further tweaking.

Finally got home. Having some Macbaren Pure Virginia in my meerschaum poker. 😀 I think that I am going to move all my Macbaren Pure Virginia it to the back of my celler. After multiple bowls in different pipes over several weeks. It is just very one dimensional in flavor for a Virginia blend. Maybe if I let it age for a while it will improve. 🤔
