I think I'll have one more bowl of Simply Red.... good choice. I like that stuff. It's great, no frills, always a dependable, well behaved smoke. I need to smoke more of it, but I've kinda been hoarding/sparing it. I think Ernie's gonna have a release at the end of the month sometime.

Newminster Superior Round Slices as the maiden voyage of a heavily rusticated Brebbia Royal Ascot lovat type thing. How'd that new pipe smoke? It's actually fantastic. A steal. Oddly, it came with a removable stinger. I took that out immediately. Somehow I knew I needed this pipe, and I'm glad I got it. I'm more than tempted to go back and buy the bent one.

I'm more than tempted to go back and buy the bent one. I picked up a couple of Brebbia pipes on Ebay a couple months back. About $45 a piece. Not as nicely rusticated as yours. More of a sandblasted finish. I need to give them more smoke time. I tend to go for bent pipes. If the other one has that nice rustification I bet if looks great.

My Finest Kind, a hearty Vanilla aro from Milan, in a Butz Choquin spot carved ,bent bulldog, marked ,St Claude over FRANCE over 1024...it has a lucite stem that looks enough like bone to pass, and an oak colored stain. A pipe I almost never smoke, it came to me in a yard sale purchase of eight or ten pipes ,for the unreal sum of $8.50...this was back in the late seventies ,and the seller was an ex-salesperson for Tinder Box... As I walked up to the collection ,the gent in front of me got a large bust and a fifteen inch wood statue of a native American chief for $15 bucks each, timing is everything!!! At least I got the pipes.

Finishing off last nights Jursa bulldog full of "Johnney's Garden", a jar mix of my own making, it's a base of McClelland's 5100 ,with enough mild aromatics running through it to keep the wife's smile in place...little did I know that my wife would learn to put up with whatever I smoke ,and that 5100 would someday be a thing of the past.

Mixture of 2/3 HH Old Dark Fired and 1/3 HH Latakia in a very craggy bent Peterson Emerald. I think a touch of Bob's Chocolate to sweeten the pot would make it a perfect smoke.
