Rattray's Hal O' the Wynd, which was sent to me in a PIF or trade about 6 years ago, and been sitting in a jar ever since. it was a lot more mellow than i was expecting.
will be digging into a lot of old jars during the coming days, weeks...

Good morning patchers. Getting an early start clearing out the hedges. Before it gets too warm. And before the damn bees get to active. If it wasn’t for the fact they were honeybees, they would’ve been gone long ago. Smoking an old cob while I work. Hoping the smoke will help keep the bees away! With KBV Burley Morning (Bee-B-Gone) pipe.

FVF, in a cob, again. The past weekend I was scouting the ground around my new house and I got about twenty chigger bites.

greets & happy HumpDay to those affected. Way earlier, watering, usual walks company of Quorum 5x50. Recycle box & small plastic wastebasket drying on back porch after thorough rinsing. Next up...feed the Ed. If not too hot later, trim back some ungainly rose stalks. A beer run later, otherwise time to hunker down inside.
80, partly cloudy, headed for 90

"Burley, Oriental/Turkish, Perique, Virginia". How do you like it? STOUT. It's pure tobacco. Comes fairly dry. It's pretty polarizing, I think. I know guys that smoke it very frequently, and guys that hate it with a passion. I dig it. I didn't, at first, but I've been warming up to it.

Newminster Superior Round Slices in a shop pot. I'm getting hints of maple, and a prevailing sweetness. It's great.

Smoking Stratford in a Neerup churchwarden.
Killing moths that managed to find a hole in a window screen and come to my overhead light. What I do is stop smoking until a moth or two boldly approaches the light. Then I get out my tennis racket shaped bug zapper and snap them with 4000 volts. Then I relight and puff.
