My newest acquisition. Stock photo. SIG P226 Legion SAO. Got it for a little over half of typical retail. I was unable to walk away from it. Beautiful piece. Congrats! I have one of those, myself. You'll enjoy it.

You'll enjoy it. Everyone seems to love theirs, Urb. Years ago I had the SAO P220 Carry SAO. I like everything about this even more. Longer barrel, better trigger, better sights, heavier pistol in a milder recoiling cartridge and a better looking finish.

The high bore axis isn't ideal (unlike, say, a CZ 75), but that's pretty much the only thing I can find to even mildly complain about. Not exactly a convenient carry gun by modern standards, of course, but the Legion line isn't really intended for that kind of thing.

Thanks. I have considered those before. But probably not for this pistol. But perhaps for my Hellcat Pro?

Not exactly a convenient carry gun by modern standards, of course, but the Legion line isn't really intended for that kind of thing. I’ve had several SIGs and they do have the highish bore axis and quick recovery between shots requires a little more effort and focus. Since it will be a range toy/house gun, I am not too concerned. On the other hand, if I had to face the end of the world with only this pistol for a sidearm, I would be completely ok with that.

OK. Thanks. But what does “MSP” stand for? Or is it a secret?

It's just the name of that holster model. Apparently, it stands for "Modern Samurai Project", whatever that is.

I've tried dozens of holsters for concealed carry and I like JM4 Tactical holsters. I have 4 of their magnetic inside waistband holsters. They have magnetic retention as well as a magnetic belt clip. jm4tactical.com/

Bianchi thumb break and canted. Worn it since being on the job in the early 1970s. I will attempt to post a photo when I have the opportunity.

I have an El Paso Tom Threepersons holster and shoulder rig for the 1911. No place to wear the 44 Blackhawk. The shoulder rig needs to be broken in as it's too stiff to be comfortable. Open to suggestions for how to soften it.

I don’t like thumbreaks, in general. A well designed holster does not need them. If I am in a “rigorous’ environment I much prefer a snap-strap. I have quite a few Bianchis from my early days. They are sturdy, well-made holsters, but not particularly well-designed IMO.

It's pretty much broken in and I find it works well.

Tractor Supply? The shoulder rig really chafes my shoulders badly.
