So when Annie Lennox sang 'sweet dreams are made of these,' she was referring to Maltese Falcon cats?

So when Annie Lennox sang 'sweet dreams are made of these,' she was referring to Maltese Falcon cats? The quote has more to do with John Huston's 1941 movie "The Maltese Falcon" and the last line of the movie.

I started feeding ONE stray. Now I have a bunch that come in the house, and more outside. It's out of control.

I left town for a few days and came back to find my wife had adopted a big, orange, hairy, stray tom. But he lives in the barn and catches mice, so it's all good. My 3yo grand daughter named him "Huckle". I have no idea what that means. I just call him "cat". Probably from Richard Scarry.

I try to dislike cats. After all, they belong to a political party that I find totalitarian and human-averse. It’s difficult though, because they can so endearing. I know it’s all an act and a nefarious plot hatched by a commissariat to whose meetings I am not invited. Nevertheless…

I may have mentioned previously that yesterday a neighbor dropped a kitten off at my place. It has since moved right in and taken over the house. Spends all its time sitting on my shoulder purring or on my head in bed. Appears to be a "Blue" with some highlights. I have not checked the gender yet. Certainly enjoys eating 21my breakfast sausage when it is cut into very tiny pieces.
If I can figure out how to get a photo from my Android phone to this forum, I will post one.

toshtego, that’s a cute kitten. I’ve wanted to find one that my cat likes, but no luck so far. I’ve thought it might make her a little more active to have one around.

Other than a few barn cats, the only cat on our property was on an old 78 rpm record.

Cats kill 10000 times as many songbirds as windmills. Indeed, it's been established that cats kill very few windmills.
(Sorry, it had to be said.)

Andromeda from November 2022. Ahh, there's nothing quite like a shoulder cat. We had an old orange tabby years ago who would drape himself over my shoulders, the more so toward the end of his life. It's a good feeling. I guess it was for him too.
