I want to buy “our stuff” from a specialty shop, not somewhere like Amazon. So far I have experienced only Pipes & Cigars and Tobaccopipes. I feel no allegiance to P&C. No real reason except there seems to be an attitude that I can’t quite define, but don’t much care for. Have had no problems with them, except their shipping seems a bit high and they don’t ship quickly. Tobaccopipes has been getting more of my business. They ship VERY quickly. (Last “it’s shipped”” notice came 40-minutes after I placed the order.) Personable, too, and quick to answer email queries and requests for recommendations. I’m sure there are other places out there and would like to learn where folks here buy and what they think of various vendors. Thanks for any comments & opinions.

I would normally not do business with P&C as they lie and tell you incorrect information on a regular basis. But they have some house blends that I can't get anywhere else...so...sh** what are you gonna do?

I have had no problem with P&C in the past 6 years. Mars Cigars is getting more of my business, but John Brandt at Wilke and Ken Byron are my mainstays these days. Strauss Tobacco is getting my next order at the wife's request.

I've avoided P&C for quite a long time but did order something from them recently that was unavailable elsewhere, and they were prompt. No issues. Though I do most of my tobacco buys on Smokingpipes, recently been ordering some of Ken Byron's blends.

Take a look at The Pipe Nook. Eddie is a small fish in a big pond. But has done a nice job for me. Not the biggest selection, but worthy of my needs and money. www.thepipenook.com/

I don't touch P&C. The IPSD 2017 debacle is legendary, not to mention questionable business practices with Seattle Pipe Club. My money goes to SPC, Wilke, Watch City Cigars, and Tobacco Pipes for tobacco, Ebay, Meerschaum Market, and artisans for pipes.

I bought a lot of tobacco and a pipe or two from P&C early on in my return to pipes. I had no problems with P&C other than the USPS mangling a box or two. I buy much less from them now, mostly because of better prices from other vendors and my taste in tobacco has changed. I buy from Smokingpipes, Tobaccopipes, Wilke, Watch City, LJ Peretti, 4 Noggins, & Pipe Nook - I think that's it. If P&C were the only game in town, I would gladly buy from them and may anyway, depending on what I'm smoking.

Smoking pipes .com for me or the little place down the way always has a tin or three that always changes and they have cigars as well as pipes.

My tobacco vendors have boiled down to Tobacco Pipes, Watch City, Ken Byron, Mars, and maybe some other small stores if they have harder to find stuff. I don't really buy pipes too often, because I make 'em if I want 'em - unless I see something weird and/or demented on eBay, or in a small B&M.

Personable, too, and quick to answer email queries and requests for recommendations. If you're happy with the selection, prices, and service from tobaccopipes.com, why would you shop anywhere else? You're setting yourself up for disappointment.

I have been quite satisfied with Tobaccopipes and the occasional Smokingpipes orders. After those I tend to support my local B&M. 😀

Looking back at my order history, and it's about even between P&C and Smokingpipes as my go to sources. I've never had an issue with either one.

I cant order any pipe tobacco into Washington state, so all my online orders are cigars. And I use Foxcigar out of Arizona pretty much exclusively these days. I get my orders in 2 days usually, no shipping charges, no taxes, things are packed great and prices are really good. And I personal, hand written notes of thanks in every box.

Tobaccopipes is my favorite. Usually I receive my packages in 2 days. Their prices are good, their people are excellent and if there's ever a problem with something, they don't make it seem like your fault. If they carried just a few more things, its the only place I'd use. 5 out of 5 stars
Smokingpipes is my #2. Ive had a few issues, but their customer support is top of the line, and they've always made errors work out in my favor. 4.5 out of 5 stars
Watch City is a favorite of mine as well. Great house blends, but shipping always seems to take forever (not their fault). Tins are a bit higher than other places, but it's a small business, not a large one. 4.5 out of 5 stars
I should give some business to Wilke and KBV, they make great blends, but I'm yet to place an order with either of them.
As far as pipes go... I know the man to get ahold of when the itch needs scratched.
P&C has a few blends that I can't get anywhere else. These days, thats the only time I use them. Their customer support is absolute garbage IF you can even get someone on the phone. Dont bother emailing them either. It takes anywhere from 3-14 days to get a reply.
