Totally agree. Not a Will Ferrell fan. Same here

The best thing Ferrell ever did was getting shot in the backside with a tranquilizer dart by an orangutan in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. 👌👍👍

One of my wife's favorite "Christmas movies" is "The Long Kiss Goodnight" - Geena Davis and Samuel Jackson. It is a great movie. I love it! But it's a Christmas movie like "Die Hard" is a Christmas movie.
Everyone should see it.

Another great Christmas Movie: The Ref. I laughed, I cried; it was better than Cats.

"Home Alone" is very enjoyable. Not so much as a Christmas story as it is slapstick with Pesci and Stern. They are hilarious clowns. There is a Christmacy aspect, of course, with the old man next door.
I love that old guy and his most memorable line from another movie, "I saw Bigfoot once! Sequoia National Forest, 1951! It made a sound that I would not want to hear twice in my life."
When he said it, I believed it!!!

Haven't seen the sequel yet, although my youngest has seen it a few times already. The first one was really well done. The Mrs. Claus reveal at the end couldn't have been more perfect. Saw the second Christmas Chronicles at the weekend...nowhere NEAR as good as the first.

Watched the Hogfather movie last night. Pretty good, but not something I would watch every year. I think Miracle on 34th Street is actually my only real Christmas movie, probably because I grew up with it.

Watched A Christmas Carol from 1938 last night. Very good. Now watching my favorite version, Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol. I loved that one as a child, and was delighted when they released it on DVD a few years ago. Great songs.

Thanks to this thread, I just watched "It Happened on 5th Avenue".
Great movie. Not a favorite, but I may buy the DVD and watch it during the Christmas season in the future.
The scene in the restaurant with the table with uneven legs didn't seem to belong. Could have been left out and not impacted the story line at all. And it felt like they didn't finish the story. Left you to assume the daughter and young man got married.

I actually enjoyed Krause, a Netflix movie from last year. We'll watch it again very soon, maybe with the grandkids.
